Linkin Park, Playboi Carti to Headline Lollapalooza India 2026 in Mumbai

Lollapalooza India has announced its 2026 headliners, with Linkin Park and Playboi Carti set to top the bill for the festival’s fourth edition, scheduled for January 24–25 in Mumbai. This marks the first-ever performance in India for both acts. Linkin Park—the multi-Grammy-winning band known for anthems like “In the End” and “Numb”—has sold over 100 million records worldwide and built a devoted Indian fanbase since the early 2000s. Their enduring influence is reflected in recent releases such as the album “From Zero” and the single “Lost.” Playboi Carti, whose latest album “Music” saw every track enter the Billboard Hot 100, will perform alongside his Opium collective, featuring Ken Carson, Destroy Lonely, and Homixide Gang, bringing his experimental hip-hop style to the festival stage. The lineup reflects Lollapalooza’s signature blend of genres, designed to appeal to a wide range of music enthusiasts. Standout acts include British alt-rock phenomenon Yungblud, Grammy-nominated R&B singer Kehlani, and electronic producer Knock2, whose track “dashstar” became a viral hit in both festival and gaming circles. Other international artists range from synth-pop outfit LANY and U.K. bass producer Sammy Virji to Japanese singer-songwriter Fujii Kaze. The bill is rounded out by synthwave duo The Midnight and Canadian indie mainstays Mother Mother, who are celebrating two decades together with their new album “Nostalgia.” A strong contingent of emerging local and global artists completes the lineup. Indian metal-folk fusion group Bloodywood returns to the festival, joining established domestic acts like Ankur Tewari & The Ghalat Family, tabla innovator Karsh Kale, and electronic duo OAFF-Savera. The event also highlights a new wave of Indian talent, including Sen, Zoya, Gini, and hip-hop newcomer MXRCI. International representation features the Afro-jazz fusion sounds of Nubiyan Twist, Brazilian baile funk from MU540, and energetic alt-rock from Manchester’s Hot Milk. Lollapalooza India is promoted and co-produced by BookMyShow Live, the events division of India’s leading entertainment platform BookMyShow. They collaborate with global producers C3 Presents—organizers of major festivals like Austin City Limits—and Perry Farrell, the Jane’s Addiction frontman who founded the original Lollapalooza in 1991 as a touring showcase for alternative music. This partnership has been key to establishing Lollapalooza India as a premier event on the international festival circuit, combining high production values with carefully curated lineups. As one industry analyst noted, “The festival’s steady growth reflects not only the maturing tastes of Indian audiences but also the powerful global reach of the Lollapalooza brand.”
