Radiohead has unveiled plans for a 20-show European tour, signaling a significant comeback after an extended hiatus. The influential British band—known for albums like "OK Computer" and "In Rainbows"—will play four nights each in Madrid, Bologna, London, Copenhagen, and Berlin. The announcement ends months of mounting speculation around the group’s return to touring.
Drummer Philip Selway offered context for the reunion in a recent statement. “We began rehearsing again last year purely for enjoyment,” he remarked. “Reconnecting with the music and each other after seven years apart felt invigorating. That creative spark inspired us to return to the stage, starting with these dates.” The itinerary includes Madrid’s Movistar Arena (November 4, 5, 7, 8), Bologna’s Unipol Arena (November 14, 15, 17, 18), London’s O2 Arena (November 21, 22, 24, 25), Copenhagen’s Royal Arena (December 1, 2, 4, 5), and Berlin’s Uber Arena (December 8, 9, 11, 12).
Fans had detected signs of the tour for months. In March, the band registered a company called RHEUK25 LLP, widely interpreted as “Radiohead Europe UK 2025.” A charity auction later offered tickets to a future Radiohead show, and industry publication Resident Advisor cited sources confirming residency plans. Posters for London and Copenhagen concerts also appeared in early September, further stoking anticipation.
This return follows years of individual projects. Bassist Colin Greenwood mentioned rehearsals last September, and frontman Thom Yorke later addressed the possibility of regrouping in an Australian radio interview. “We’ve reached a point where we can decide our path on our own terms,” Yorke noted. The band’s last performance was in 2018 at the end of the "A Moon Shaped Pool" tour. Since then, members have pursued ventures ranging from film scoring to electronic side projects.
Adding momentum to their reemergence, Radiohead will release "Hail to the Thief – Live" on October 31. Yorke described revisiting the recordings as “a startling and cathartic experience,” one that underscored the raw power of their live performances. This archival release, paired with the upcoming tour, reaffirms the band’s lasting influence and offers audiences a new opportunity to witness their genre-defining sound in person.
