FKA Twigs to Perform at Kering Foundation’s Caring for Women Dinner

FKA twigs, the acclaimed British singer and producer known for her avant-garde artistry and vocal advocacy, will perform a special live set at the Fourth Annual Caring For Women Dinner. Hosted by the Kering Foundation, the gala will take place on September 11 at The Pool in New York City, with all proceeds benefiting Sistah Space, a London-based charity supporting Black women affected by domestic abuse.

A roster of high-profile attendees is expected, including Salma Hayek Pinault, François-Henri Pinault, Colman Domingo, Demi Moore, Dolores Huerta, Jeff Koons, Jessica Chastain, Julianne Moore, and Madonna. More than 200 leaders from the arts, fashion, and media industries are anticipated to join the event, which will also feature a live auction led by Lydia Fenet. Luxury items and experiences donated by Kering’s prestigious brands—such as Gucci, Saint Laurent, Bottega Veneta, and Balenciaga—will be up for bid, alongside original artworks by Damien Hirst.

Established in 2008, the Kering Foundation has a long-standing commitment to fighting gender-based violence by partnering with grassroots organizations worldwide. All funds raised will support four beneficiary NGOs: Sanctuary for Families, FreeFrom, Violence Intervention Program, and Equality Now. According to a recent report from the World Health Organization, nearly one in three women worldwide experiences physical or sexual violence in their lifetime, underscoring the urgent need for sustained intervention and support.

Beyond fundraising, the event aims to amplify public awareness and inspire collective action. As noted by Dr. Amara Jones, a gender policy expert at Columbia University, “High-profile gatherings like this help dismantle the stigma surrounding abuse, empowering survivors and mobilizing allies across sectors.” By uniting cultural influencers and philanthropists, the dinner seeks to foster innovative collaborations and accelerate progress toward a future free from gender-based violence.

The foundation’s strategy of blending artistic performance, celebrity engagement, and strategic grantmaking reflects a growing trend in modern philanthropy—one that leverages diverse platforms to drive social change. This year’s event continues a tradition of using creativity and influence to address one of the most pervasive human rights issues of our time.
