Lil Nas X in Treatment Following Arrest, Lawyer Says ‘This Is a Bump That He’s Gonna Get Over’

Legal counsel for the acclaimed rapper Lil Nas X has confirmed that the artist is currently receiving medical attention following his recent arrest. The performer, whose real name is Montero Hill, was taken into custody in Los Angeles on August 21 after allegedly assaulting a police officer and resisting orders while partially unclothed in a public area.

Speaking outside a Los Angeles courthouse, Hill’s attorney, Drew Findling, emphasized that his client’s well-being is the primary concern. “Right now, all efforts are directed toward ensuring Montero’s health and stability,” Findling stated. “He is surrounded by a strong support system, including family and his professional team, and we believe he will overcome this challenging period.” This coordinated response is increasingly common in the entertainment world, where legal and personal crises are often managed through integrated support networks.

Although specifics of his treatment were not disclosed, initial reports indicated that Hill was hospitalized at the time of his arrest due to concerns of a possible overdose. The Los Angeles Police Department had been called to the scene earlier that day after receiving multiple reports of a distressed and partially unclothed individual causing a public disturbance.

In a social media update, Hill reassured his fans, writing, “Your girl is going to be OK… The past few days have been scary, but I’m pulling through.” He has pleaded not guilty to all four felony charges and was released after posting $75,000 bail. A subsequent court hearing has been scheduled for November 18.

This event sheds light on the immense psychological and emotional strain often faced by young artists navigating sudden fame. Lil Nas X, who became a global phenomenon with his record-breaking 2019 single “Old Town Road,” has previously discussed his mental health publicly. His openness adds context to this incident, illustrating how rapid success can sometimes exacerbate underlying pressures in the music industry.
