Madonna Reveals New Dance Album Coming Next Year as She Returns to Warner Records

In a major career announcement, pop icon Madonna confirmed she will release a new dance-focused album in 2026 and has officially rejoined Warner Records, the label that launched her career more than 40 years ago. The artist, whose 1982 debut single "Everybody" first introduced her to the world under Warner’s Sire Records imprint, spent her first 25 trailblazing years with the company before pursuing other ventures. This return marks a full-circle moment for the performer often hailed as the Queen of Pop.

Reflecting on the significance of the reunion, Madonna shared, “When I signed my first contract as an unknown artist in New York, releasing just three singles, I sensed everything was about to change—and it did. Warner has always felt like a true creative home, and I’m excited to continue our partnership. I aim to make music that surprises, moves, and challenges.” Her upcoming album will be her first since 2019’s “Madame X,” ending a seven-year gap between studio releases.

Adding to anticipation for the project, Madonna will be working again with producer Stuart Price, who co-created her acclaimed 2005 album “Confessions on a Dance Floor,” a record celebrated for its seamless blend of disco and electronic influences. Industry observers view the collaboration as a deliberate nod to a beloved era in her discography while signaling a fresh creative direction. As music historian Dr. Elena Torres commented, “Madonna has always excelled at merging nostalgia with forward-thinking artistry. Partnering again with Price suggests she’s aiming to recapture the magic of one of her most influential periods while speaking to contemporary audiences.”

Warner Records co-chairs Tom Corson and Aaron Bay-Schuck voiced their enthusiasm about her return, stating, “Madonna’s homecoming is a historic event for Warner Records. She is not only a transformative musical figure but a lasting cultural innovator. Her career has redefined the possibilities of pop stardom again and again. Having her back with us feels like both an honor and a natural progression as we embark on an exciting new phase together.”
