Just one week after revealing its artist roster, the 2026 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival has completely exhausted its ticket inventory. The festival's official social media channels confirmed the rapid sell-out, noting that all passes were snapped up shortly after last Monday's lineup announcement. A post on Instagram simply read, "She’s gone, dance on. See you in April." While general admission and VIP tickets are no longer available, hopeful attendees can register for official waitlists, which offer a chance to secure passes before the event kicks off.
The festival, which will occupy both weekends of April 10-12 and April 17-19, returns to its longtime home at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California. Since its debut in 1999, this iconic desert venue has become synonymous with Coachella, known for its eclectic musical offerings and massive, immersive art installations. The 2026 headliners—Justin Bieber, Sabrina Carpenter, Karol G, and the audio-visual project Anyma—are all familiar faces to the Coachella stage, having previously performed there either as headliners or featured guests, which has only heightened the fervor for their return.
Anticipation is being actively stoked by the artists themselves on social media. Justin Bieber, the global superstar who first achieved fame as a teenager with his 2010 hit "Baby," posted a video of himself on the Empire Polo Club grounds singing his track "Speed Demon." Similarly, a clip from Sabrina Carpenter's 2024 Coachella set has recirculated, in which she altered the lyrics of her song "Nonsense" to prophetically sing, "See you back here when I headline." This trend of artists creating a narrative around their performances is a key part of the festival's marketing magic. As music industry commentator Dr. Elena Vance observed, "Coachella's allure is built on these curated moments of artist-fan connection, transforming a music festival into a cultural event with its own unfolding story."
The festival's strength, however, extends far beyond its top-billed acts. The 2026 undercard is a meticulously curated showcase of talent across pop, rock, electronic, and hip-hop. Notable performers include the acclaimed electronic duo Disclosure, the buzzy new HYBE/Geffen girl group Katseye, the atmospheric singer-songwriter Ethel Cain, and iconic bands like The xx and The Strokes. The lineup also features social media star Addison Rae, rapper Young Thug, visionary artist FKA twigs, the reunited rap duo Clipse, Talking Heads frontman David Byrne, post-punk revivalists Interpol, and genre-blending jazz-pop artist Laufey. The immediate sell-out underscores Coachella's enduring status as a premier live music experience, where demand consistently and dramatically outpaces the finite supply of tickets.
