‘KPop Demon Hunters’ Singers Set First-Ever Live Performance on ‘Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’

The vocalists behind the chart-topping fictional group Huntr/x from Netflix's animated hit "KPop Demon Hunters" are set for their debut live TV performance. Ejae, Audrey Nuna, and Rei Ami will take the stage on the October 7th episode of "The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon" to perform their record-breaking single, "Golden," before joining the host for a conversation.

While these singers provide the voices for the animated characters Rumi, Mira, and Zoey, the speaking roles are handled by actresses Arden Cho, May Hong, and Ji-young Yoo. The film, which premiered on June 20th, was an immediate global success, largely fueled by its soundtrack. The album debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 Soundtrack chart and currently stands as 2025's best-selling movie soundtrack. The single "Golden" made history as the first female-led K-pop track to reach the summit of the Billboard Hot 100, where it remained for six consecutive weeks.

On the streaming front, "KPop Demon Hunters" achieved remarkable metrics. It climbed to #4 on Netflix's all-time most popular movies list by early August and secured the #1 spot by the end of the month. To date, the film has amassed over 325 million views and spent 14 straight weeks in the Netflix Top 10, recently holding the #2 position. This unprecedented performance prompted Netflix to experiment with a limited two-day theatrical release of a sing-along version in August, a move that generated an estimated $18 to $20 million at the box office.

The international reach of "Golden" was even more significant, as the track ruled the Billboard Global 200 chart for ten straight weeks. Dr. Lena Shim, a pop culture analyst at Berklee College of Music, observed, "This kind of sustained dominance across global charts is highly unusual and often indicates a fundamental shift in the cultural landscape, not merely a fleeting viral moment." This sustained success underscores the project's deep impact on music markets worldwide.

Also appearing on the October 7th broadcast is Jennifer Lopez. The episode is executive produced by Lorne Michaels' Broadway Video and Universal Television. Securing a performance slot for the Huntr/x singers on such a prominent platform underscores the film's powerful crossover appeal, confirming its evolution from an animated feature into a significant pop culture force.
