Show moreNine Inch Nails Add 20+ North American Dates to ‘Peel It Back’ Tour
Live Nation has expanded Nine Inch Nails' "Peel It Back" tour with a major new North American leg stretching into the new year. The run kicks off on February 5 at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans and concludes on March 16 at Sacramento's Golden 1 Center. This extensive series of dates will see the band performing across numerous major markets, including Washington, D.C., Montreal, Austin, Las Vegas, and San Francisco.
Electronic music producer Boys Noize, a longtime collaborator, will provide support for every show on this leg. The tour has already proven to be a massive success, with its initial European and UK dates in June selling out and receiving widespread critical acclaim, a run that also marked the celebrated return of drummer Josh Freese. To date, the "Peel It Back" tour has attracted over 450,000 attendees, with multiple sold-out nights in cities such as Brooklyn, Chicago, and Los Angeles demonstrating the band's lasting appeal. This is a significant feat for Nine Inch Nails, the pioneering industrial rock project founded in 1988 by Trent Reznor, whose seminal 1994 album "The Downward Spiral" is widely credited with bringing industrial music into the mainstream.
Tickets for the newly announced concerts will go on sale to the general public on Wednesday, October 8, at 12 p.m. local time. Industry analyst Mark Evans noted, "The overwhelming response to this tour underscores the lasting cultural resonance of Nine Inch Nails. Their live shows are legendary for their visceral, high-concept production, a quality that continues to attract multiple generations of concertgoers." This enduring popularity is a testament to a career built on artistic integrity rather than chasing commercial trends.
Fans can expect a setlist that intentionally bypasses the band's recent soundtrack compositions in favor of a comprehensive journey through their own influential catalog. Despite just releasing the official score for "TRON: Ares" on September 19, the live performance is crafted as a career retrospective. This deliberate focus offers a stark contrast to their cinematic work and provides a powerful, immersive look at the evolution of their sound, from aggressive anthems to more atmospheric album cuts.
