Cyndi Lauper Announces Las Vegas Residency, Following TV Special and Wrap-Up of Farewell Tour

While Cyndi Lauper has concluded her extensive touring, the iconic singer has definitively confirmed she is not leaving the stage. Her next chapter will be a debut Las Vegas residency, a move that honors her earlier indication that the farewell tour was not a complete goodbye. The shows will be held at the world-renowned Colosseum at Caesars Palace, a venue celebrated for hosting legendary performers including Elton John and Celine Dion. The initial run is scheduled for six nights, from April 24 to May 2, 2026.

The residency announcement arrived hot on the heels of a significant television tribute. Just after the broadcast of "A Grammy Salute to Cyndi Lauper: Live from the Hollywood Bowl," a two-hour CBS special featuring SZA, Cher, and Joni Mitchell, the Vegas plans were revealed. This special was taped on the final two dates of her Girls Just Wanna Have Fun Farewell Tour last August. Industry expert Maria Flores noted, "This strategic timing allows Lauper to pivot from a nostalgic farewell into a celebrated, fixed-location engagement, perfectly capitalizing on the renewed public interest generated by the tribute."

According to promoter Live Nation, the residency offers a final chance for fans who were unable to catch the farewell tour to see the artist perform live. This limited-engagement model, which is growing in popularity among veteran musicians, allows performers to connect with audiences without the physical demands of a relentless travel schedule. It also provides a stable, high-production setting that can enhance the overall concert experience for both the artist and attendees.

Before she takes the Vegas stage, Lauper will be celebrated with induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame this November in Los Angeles. This honor acknowledges her immense influence across music, fashion, and culture since she exploded onto the scene in 1983 with her debut album 'She's So Unusual,' which produced timeless hits like "Time After Time" and "Girls Just Want to Have Fun." Further expanding her creative portfolio, her new stage musical "Working Girl," based on the hit film, begins its run at California's La Jolla Playhouse on October 28, with a potential transfer to Broadway highly anticipated.

Tickets for the six performances at The Colosseum—set for April 24, 25, 29 and May 1-2, 2026—will become available to the general public this Friday at 10 a.m. PT. A sequence of presales will precede the public on-sale: Citi cardholders gain access starting Tuesday, a dedicated fan club presale begins Wednesday, and finally, Caesars Rewards members, plus Live Nation and Ticketmaster customers, can secure tickets during a presale launching Thursday, all at 10 a.m. PT.
