Rauw Alejandro, Kacey Musgraves, Carlos Santana and More Added as Latin Grammys Performers

The roster for the 2025 Latin Grammy Awards has been significantly enhanced with a fresh slate of performers, adding pop-reggaeton sensation Rauw Alejandro, genre-blending American country artist Kacey Musgraves, and iconic guitarist Carlos Santana. They will take the stage on November 13 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas—a venue renowned for hosting premier entertainment events. They will be joined by a varied lineup including hit songwriter Edgar Barrera, vocalist Joaquina, regional Mexican star Christian Nodal, and Argentine artist Nathy Peluso, as well as Elena Rose, veteran performer Alejandro Sanz, and the chart-topping norteño ensemble Grupo Frontera. This infusion of talent underscores the ceremony's standing as the definitive celebration of Latin music.

These newly announced artists complement an already impressive list of previously confirmed acts, which includes legends such as Pepe Aguilar, Gloria Estefan, and Los Tigres del Norte, alongside rising stars Aitana and Carín León. The evening will also feature a special performance by the 2025 Person of the Year, the Spanish icon Raphael. Raphael, whose illustrious career began in the 1960s and includes a vast catalog of timeless ballads, has been a foundational figure in Latin pop. A potential standout moment is a live rendition of "Lost in Translation," the bilingual collaboration between Kacey Musgraves and Carín León, although the specifics of her performance are still being finalized.

This year's lineup is notable for its overlap with the major nominees, turning the ceremony into a live display of the awards competition. Edgar Barrera leads the field with a remarkable ten nominations across categories like Song of the Year and Producer of the Year, a clear indicator of his dominance behind the scenes as a songwriter. Rauw Alejandro is in contention for Album of the Year and Best Reggaeton Performance for "Cosa Nuestra," while both Joaquina and Elena Rose have each secured four nominations, including for their albums. As music critic Sofia Mendez observed, "The performer list is a direct reflection of the nominees, highlighting the artists who have most shaped the current Latin music landscape."

The convergence of performance and nomination continues with Christian Nodal, who is up for Best Ranchero/Mariachi Album, and Nathy Peluso, recognized with two nods for her urban music output. Alejandro Sanz, a multi-Grammy winner with a career spanning over thirty years, is nominated in four major categories, including Record and Album of the Year. Grupo Frontera's Adelaido "Payo" Solis III rounds out the list with a nomination for Best Regional Song, underscoring the group's swift ascent and the surging international appeal of regional Mexican genres, which have seen a dramatic increase in global streaming numbers over the past two years.
