Show moreBlackpink’s Lisa Signs With Wasserman Music for Worldwide Touring Representation (EXCLUSIVE)
Wasserman Music announced on Wednesday that it has secured a global touring representation deal with Lisa, the celebrated K-pop star from the iconic group Blackpink. This partnership represents a major strategic move for the artist as she continues to expand her solo career, which took off after Blackpink achieved worldwide fame.
Lisa’s solo endeavors have already proven highly successful. Earlier this year, she established her own label, LLOUD CO., and released her debut solo album "Alter Ego" in collaboration with RCA Records. The 15-track project made a powerful entrance onto the charts, debuting at No. 7 on the Billboard 200 while also claiming the top spot on Billboard’s Top Album Sales chart. According to music industry expert Clara Shin, "Achieving such immediate chart success with a debut solo album is uncommon for a K-pop artist and highlights her significant global appeal." The album was preceded by several notable singles, including "Rockstar" co-produced by Ryan Tedder and Sam Homaee, "New Woman" featuring Rosalía, and collaborations with Doja Cat, Raye, and others. Her standout solo set at Coachella 2024 further cemented her reputation as a compelling headlining act.
Beyond music, Lisa has also entered the world of acting. She recently appeared in the acclaimed HBO series "The White Lotus," joining the cast of its third season as a character named "Mook." This step reflects her deliberate effort to broaden her artistic presence across the entertainment landscape.
The new touring agreement coincides with a period of renewed activity for Blackpink. After a year dedicated to individual projects, the group reunited for their first all-stadium tour, which kicked off on July 5 at Goyang Stadium in South Korea. The tour has already sold out multiple shows in major U.S. cities such as Los Angeles and New York. Scheduled to run into 2026, the tour will visit Europe and Asia before wrapping up on January 26 at Hong Kong’s Kai Tak Sports Park—a modern venue constructed on the grounds of the old Kai Tak Airport, which served as Hong Kong’s primary international airport until 1998. Adding to the excitement, Blackpink released "Jump," a new digital single in July, marking their first group release in almost three years and fueling speculation about a forthcoming album tied to the tour.
