Taylor Swift Adds Third Week at No. 1 on Albums and Songs Charts; Olivia Dean and Leon Thomas Enter Top 10

For the third consecutive week, Taylor Swift's new release, "The Life of a Showgirl," remains at the top of the Billboard 200. According to data from Luminate, the 12-track collection earned another 194,000 equivalent album units, making it only the second album this year—after Morgan Wallen's "I'm the Problem"—to debut at number one and hold that spot for its first three weeks. This sustained performance highlights the remarkable loyalty and engagement of Swift's audience, a phenomenon industry experts often attribute to her masterful use of storytelling and direct fan interaction.

Her chart supremacy isn't limited to the album rankings. On the Billboard Hot 100, "The Fate of Ophelia" claims the number one position for a third week. Additionally, Swift holds three more top-tier slots: "Opalite" at No. 4, "Elizabeth Taylor" at No. 5, and "Father Figure" at No. 6. This kind of multi-track dominance is rare and underscores her ability to generate widespread interest across an entire album, rather than leaning on one or two hit singles.

Amid Swift's stronghold, two artists celebrated their first-ever top 10 entries. Olivia Dean's "Man I Need" jumped from No. 17 to No. 8, fueled by 14.3 million streams and a radio audience of 17 million. Leon Thomas also broke into the top 10 as a solo artist with "Mutt," which climbed to No. 10 on the strength of 7 million streams and a radio reach of nearly 60 million. Maria Chen, a ChartData analyst, commented, "In today's fragmented music market, breaking into the top 10 without a viral push or major label backing is a significant accomplishment, making these entries especially impressive."

While "Mutt" marks Thomas's first solo top 10, he is no stranger to the upper reaches of the charts. The singer and producer has co-written and produced a string of major hits for other artists, including Drake's "In the Bible," Jay-Z's "Love All," and SZA's "Snooze." His work behind the scenes has made him a key architect of the modern R&B and pop landscape.

Elsewhere on the albums chart, Tame Impala made a powerful return as "Deadbeat" entered at No. 4. This marks the first full-length release in five years from Kevin Parker, the Australian multi-instrumentalist who is the sole creative force behind the critically acclaimed psychedelic project. The album earned 70,000 total units, driven by 37,000 in traditional sales and 41.72 million on-demand streams, securing Tame Impala its third top-five album. The rest of the top 10 saw Sabrina Carpenter's "Man's Best Friend" hold at No. 5, Cardi B's "Am I the Drama?" drop to No. 6, and Olivia Dean's "The Art of Loving" slip just one spot to No. 7 in its fourth week. SZA's "SOS" remained at No. 8, Morgan Wallen's "One Thing at a Time" rose to No. 9, and Alex Warren's "You'll Be Alright, Kid" closed out the list at No. 10.
