Show moreThe Osbourne Family Slams Roger Waters for Insulting Ozzy After His Death: ‘A Miserable, Ugly Human Being’ and a ‘F—ing C—‘
A new episode of "The Osbournes Podcast" featured the entire family launching a unified and furious condemnation of Pink Floyd's Roger Waters. Their outrage was ignited by an August interview Waters gave to The Independent, in which he disparaged Ozzy Osbourne, dismissing his long-running television career as "idiocy and nonsense" and expressing a personal disdain for his music.
Leading the charge was Sharon Osbourne, who characterized Waters as "one of the most twisted, sick individuals I’ve come across in years." Her daughter Kelly was even more direct, employing a profane slur to describe him. Sharon elaborated, stating, "He isn't, because c--ts are good. He has no charisma... He looks like Frankenstein." She further accused him of being "sick in the head" and claimed his appeal was limited to fascists. The depth of their anger was clear when Kelly expressed a desire for his public humiliation, a fate Sharon felt was "too good" for him.
Jack Osbourne, who had initially responded to the insult on social media back in September, noted on the podcast that while his father respected Pink Floyd's music, he had always held a personal dislike for Waters. This public animosity is not a new development. The Osbournes have criticized Waters for years, with tensions escalating notably after his 2023 performance in Germany. During that concert, he wore an outfit that many interpreted as resembling a Nazi SS uniform, sparking widespread accusations of antisemitism. At the time, Sharon suggested on her show "The Talk" that Waters belonged in "an old people's home." Sharon concluded the family's latest tirade by branding him a "sad, irrelevant, old, miserable human being — a miserable, ugly human being."
This ongoing feud highlights the complex interplay between an artist's provocative public persona and their personal conduct. Roger Waters, a co-founder of the legendary progressive rock band Pink Floyd, is renowned for his politically charged and theatrical live performances. Pink Floyd, formed in London in 1965, is one of the most influential bands in history, known for albums like "The Dark Side of the Moon" and "The Wall." However, Waters's recent solo shows, which feature controversial props like inflatable pigs and imagery critics label as offensive, have alienated many former admirers. As music historian Dr. Evelyn Shaw commented, "Waters has always used spectacle to make a point, but the line between political commentary and outright provocation has become increasingly thin, risking the legacy he helped build." While Waters has consistently denied allegations of antisemitism, the controversies continue to fuel a deeply divisive public image.
Kelly Osbourne delivered the final, scathing verdict, stating, "He’s the worst word you can think of... So I send great offense to you, Roger Waters. You are a f--ing c--t." The full, heated exchange is available in the latest episode of their podcast.
