Tyler, the Creator’s Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival Pushed Back a Weekend Due to Heavy Rains

The launch of Tyler, the Creator's Camp Flog Gnaw festival has been abruptly postponed by one week, a decision made just 24 hours before its intended start. Originally set for this weekend at the Dodger Stadium Grounds in Los Angeles, the event is now rescheduled for November 22 and 23. An intense atmospheric river system, predicted to unleash severe and hazardous rainfall across the city, necessitated the sudden change.

Detailing the situation on Instagram, Tyler explained the difficult choice his team faced. He wrote, "Because this storm escalated into an atmospheric rain torrential downpour, we had two options: Cancel or move to next weekend. We chose the latter." He acknowledged the inconvenience for attendees and confirmed that refunds would be available. This official update followed a prior post where he had promised a resolution, emphasizing his commitment to preserving the festival while prioritizing public safety.

Now in its 11th year, Camp Flog Gnaw was established by Tyler, the Creator as an extension of his Golf Wang creative collective. The festival is renowned for its eclectic musical lineup and lively carnival environment. While the core roster remains mostly intact, the rescheduling has led to several artist withdrawals, such as Sombr, Clairo, Tems, 2 Chainz (with Larry June & the Alchemist), and Don Toliver.

Despite these changes, the headline performers—Tyler, the Creator, Childish Gambino, and Doechii—are all confirmed for the new dates. The appearance by Donald Glover's musical alter ego, Childish Gambino, is generating significant buzz. As one industry commentator noted, "Performing at a major festival so soon after canceling a farewell tour is a strategic pivot, making many wonder if his planned retirement from the stage is truly permanent." This booking follows his October 2024 announcement that he was canceling the remaining North American dates of his final tour as Childish Gambino, a decision he attributed to a need to focus on his physical well-being.
