Anushka Sen to Launch Music Career With Debut Single ‘Chameleon,’ Produced by Two-Time Grammy Winner Ken Lewis (EXCLUSIVE)

At the age of 21, Anushka Sen—a prominent Indian actor and digital creator with a global following approaching 40 million—is launching her music career with the debut single "Chameleon." This pop release marks a significant creative shift for Sen, who originally rose to fame as a child actor on Indian television. The track was produced by Ken Lewis, a two-time Grammy Award winner and eight-time nominee. Lewis, whose work has appeared on 79 Billboard number-one singles, has previously collaborated with major artists including Taylor Swift and Kendrick Lamar.

Recorded while Sen was visiting the United States, "Chameleon" has been shaped by Lewis into what is being called a vibrant pop anthem that mirrors the artist's personal and professional growth. The song delves into transformation and self-identity, themes that connect with Sen’s lifelong connection to music—a passion she developed early on under her mother’s influence. She explained, “Music has always been part of my life, but I never imagined I’d have the confidence to produce and release something so deeply personal. ‘Chameleon’ is about evolving, understanding yourself, and not letting others set your limits.”

Sen’s desire to defy expectations and explore different creative outlets is closely tied to her cultural upbringing. She noted that her Bengali heritage, which emphasizes engagement with varied art forms, has been a key motivator. “I’ve never believed in limiting myself to just one path, whether in my career or personal expression,” she said. “Growing up in a Bengali household, I was immersed in a culture that values diverse artistic traditions. This project lets me bring together everything I’m passionate about into a fresh, unified form.”

Her musical debut arrives on the heels of her praised role in Prime Video’s 2024 original series "Dil Dosti Dilemma," which served as her successful introduction to streaming platforms. Industry expert Rohan Mehta observed, “Moving from acting to music is often viewed with doubt, but Sen’s enormous digital reach and demonstrated adaptability provide her with a distinctive edge in attracting listener attention.” The global release of "Chameleon" is scheduled for November 18, beginning with the audio version.
