The legendary rock act Foo Fighters will headline a unique charity concert at Los Angeles's famed Kia Forum on Wednesday, January 14. All proceeds from the event are earmarked for two long-standing local charities: Hope the Mission and the Los Angeles Mission. These groups have received consistent personal backing for years from vocalist Dave Grohl, his spouse Jordyn, and the entire band. The chosen location, the Kia Forum, is an iconic Inglewood venue with a concert history stretching back to the 1960s, making it a fitting stage for this philanthropic rock event.

Securing tickets requires direct community participation. The exclusive pre-sale will be held in person at the Forum on Sunday, December 7, where admission is granted not with cash but with specific donated goods. Fans must bring newly purchased items from a precise list provided by Hope the Mission, which includes socks and underwear for all demographics, alongside bagged dry goods like rice, pasta, and pinto beans. Canned or perishable items are not part of the requested donations. Dennis Oleesky, CEO of the Los Angeles Mission, connected public involvement directly to outcomes, noting, "Every ticket purchased and every donation will directly help feed and house our unhoused neighbors." The Los Angeles Mission, founded in 1936, is one of the city's oldest and largest service providers, highlighting the deep-rooted need this concert aims to address.

Adding a personal layer, the concert coincides with Dave Grohl's 57th birthday. The musician, whose band has a storied philanthropic history including benefits for disaster relief and music education, characterized the night as a meaningful celebration.
