Spanish music icon Rosalía has announced a massive 42-date global arena tour for 2026, supporting her latest orchestral album "Lux." The "Lux Tour" will visit 17 countries across Europe and the Americas from March through September, marking a major commercial leap. Notably, the North American leg sees her graduate from large theaters to major arenas, a strategic move highlighting her expanded stateside appeal following the success of her 2022 "Motomami" tour.
The journey begins in Europe on March 16 in Lyon, France, with multi-night residencies planned for cultural hubs like Madrid, Barcelona, and London's O2 Arena—one of the world's busiest entertainment venues. The tour then shifts to North America on June 4, starting in Miami and hitting major markets including a headline show at New York's legendary Madison Square Garden on June 16. The routing concludes in Latin America with final stops in Mexico City and San Juan, Puerto Rico, on September 3. This expansive schedule underscores the sustained global momentum for Latin music, a trend ignited by hits like "Despacito" and now driven by a wave of genre-blending artists.
Rosalía, who first achieved global fame by revolutionizing flamenco with her 2018 conceptual album "El Mal Querer," is known for her meticulous artistry. Her "Lux" album was recorded with the prestigious London Symphony Orchestra, leading to fan speculation about whether a live orchestra will travel with her. While the announcement promises to "bring the album to life," that logistical detail remains unconfirmed. Industry analyst Clara Mendez notes, "Touring with an orchestra is a significant financial and operational undertaking. Whether she opts for a full ensemble or a streamlined orchestral section will be a key artistic and business decision that defines the tour's scale."
Ticket sales for the general public open on December 11 via the artist's official website. An exclusive presale for American Express cardholders launches two days earlier, on December 9. For dedicated fans, VIP Nation will offer premium packages including top-tier seating and exclusive merchandise. The ambitious scale of this tour, particularly the arena upgrades in competitive U.S. markets, is seen as a pivotal test of Rosalía's long-term stadium-filling potential beyond her core fanbase.
