Show more‘Camp Rock 3’ Sets Summer 2026 Release, Debuts Teaser Featuring the Jonas Brothers as Connect 3
The beloved "Camp Rock" franchise is officially returning this summer with a third installment, set to debut simultaneously on Disney+ and Disney Channel. This long-anticipated sequel will see the Jonas Brothers—Nick, Joe, and Kevin—return to their iconic roles as the pop-rock band Connect 3. A new teaser trailer introduces a fresh ensemble of young actors ready to join the camp's storied legacy.
Plot details reveal Connect 3 in a professional bind, having lost the opening act for a crucial reunion tour. Their solution is a strategic retreat to the nostalgic grounds of Camp Rock to scout new talent. As aspiring young musicians compete for the coveted tour slot, the official logline promises high-stakes rivalry, tested friendships, and budding romances. The teaser offers classic callbacks, with Nick Jonas musing on "Music, friendship, memories," and Joe Jonas affirming, "We're back, exactly where we're supposed to be." Kevin Jonas delivers a fan-favorite gag, quipping, "Still no birdhouse," a direct nod to his character's ongoing joke from the original films.
Leading the new cohort of campers are the driven Sage (Segura) and her relaxed brother Desi (Hudson Stone). They are joined by a diverse group including rebel Fletch (Malachi Barton), cello prodigy Rosie (Lumi Pollack), drummer Cliff (Casey Trotter), dancer Callie (Brooklynn Pitts), and influencer Madison (Ava Jean). Guiding them are the returning Jonas Brothers as Shane, Nate, and Jason Gray, alongside Maria Canals-Barrera reprising her role as camp director Connie. The original 2008 film and its 2010 sequel, "Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam," are cemented as Disney Channel classics; each premiered as the year's top-rated cable movie and consistently rank among the network's ten most popular original films of all time.
Key original creative talent is back to shepherd the project. Notably, Demi Lovato—who starred as Mitchie Torres—joins as an executive producer alongside the Jonas Brothers. This move is seen as crucial for maintaining the franchise's heart. "Involving foundational stars behind the scenes is a proven model for bridging generational gaps in a franchise, ensuring authenticity while allowing for renewal," observes entertainment analyst Clara Reed. The production team also reunites director Veronica Rodriguez, writer Eydie Faye, and choreographer Jamal Sims, with Disney Branded Television producing. This strategy reflects a broader industry trend where legacy sequels, like "Top Gun: Maverick," successfully leverage original cast involvement to resonate with both existing fans and new audiences.
