‘A Concert for Altadena’ Benefit to Feature Brandon Flowers, Rufus Wainwright, Mandy Moore, Many More

The musical roster for "A Concert for Altadena," a special benefit marking one year since the devastating Eaton Fire, has grown with several prominent additions. Joining the event are celebrated singer-songwriter Rufus Wainwright, indie-pop duo Lucius, folk-rock ensemble Lord Huron, and Taboo from the legendary hip-hop group The Black Eyed Peas. The concert is scheduled for January 7, 2026, at the historic Pasadena Civic Auditorium, a venue renowned for its Spanish Colonial Revival design and a history of hosting events from early Emmy Awards to performances by icons like Ella Fitzgerald. Actor and local resident John C. Reilly will serve as the evening's host.

These artists will perform alongside an already impressive and eclectic lineup, creating a wide-ranging musical tribute. The bill includes Dawes & Friends with Eric Krasno, Brandon Flowers of The Killers, country music star Brad Paisley, Mandy Moore, singer-songwriter Jenny Lewis, LA cultural staple Ozomatli, the rock band Everclear, and soul artist Aloe Blacc. "This lineup, from indie folk to hip-hop, reflects how a shared cause can bridge musical worlds," said event organizer Maria Chen. "The entire community's response shows that the recovery from the Eaton Fire remains a priority far beyond Altadena's borders." Such cross-genre collaboration for disaster relief has notable precedent, echoing the global fundraising power of events like 1985's "Live Aid."

All proceeds will directly support long-term recovery efforts administered by the Altadena Builds Back Foundation via the Pasadena Community Foundation’s Eaton Fire Relief & Recovery Fund. The foundation was established specifically to manage the complex, multi-year rebuilding process required after the 2025 blaze, which destroyed over 50 homes and displaced nearly 300 residents. Funds are earmarked for essential services including home reconstruction, food security programs, interim housing solutions, and mental health support for affected families, addressing a housing crisis that continues to impact the community.

General admission tickets for the January 7th concert went on sale November 7th via Ticketmaster, with robust demand expected. A limited quantity of VIP packages are still available, offering premium seating, exclusive artist meet-and-greets, and special commemorative merchandise. To generate further awareness, a national preview performance is set for December 18th on ABC's *Jimmy Kimmel Live!*, featuring Altadena-native band Dawes alongside Aloe Blacc, Lucius, and guitarist Eric Krasno.

The event's production is backed by a broad coalition of sponsors, highlighting significant community and corporate solidarity. Major partners include BeatBox Beverages, City National Bank, and Firestone Walker Brewing Co. They are joined by key supporters such as Pasadena Federal Credit Union, The Levitt Foundation, Underscore Talent, California Love Drop, the Altadena Girls Club, Hyatt Place Pasadena, Best Day Brewing, and instrument manufacturers Gibson Brands and Fender Musical Instruments. This extensive support network demonstrates a unified commitment to the region's recovery. As disaster recovery expert Dr. Lena Torres of the University of Southern California notes, "Sustained, multi-faceted support like this is critical for community resilience long after the initial emergency response has ended." Full details on ongoing relief efforts can be found on the Pasadena Community Foundation's website.
