Barry Manilow Announces Tour Dates Following Cancer Treatment

Following a successful procedure for stage-one lung cancer late last year, music icon Barry Manilow has announced rescheduled dates for his upcoming tour. The singer, known for timeless hits like "Copacabana" and "Mandy," received a positive prognosis from his doctors due to early detection. His revised concert schedule will now commence on February 27th in Tampa, Florida, with all initially planned January performances shifted to the spring months.

Tickets for the extensive arena tour will become available through several channels. An exclusive artist presale opens Wednesday, January 14th at 10:00 AM local time, running until Thursday at 10:00 PM. This will be followed by various partner presales on Thursday, culminating in the general public on-sale starting Friday, January 16th at 10:00 AM. Manilow, whose career-defining 1978 album "Even Now" logged an impressive 77 weeks on the Billboard chart, continues to work on new material alongside his touring commitments.

Each concert will include a presentation of the Manilow Music Teacher Award, an initiative of his charitable Manilow Music Project. This program, which is part of the broader Manilow Fund, recognizes outstanding local music educators. Public voting for nominated teachers begins January 22nd, with the winner receiving a $10,000 prize split between cash and a credit for musical instruments. The honored educator will be celebrated during the show. "Directly funding classroom resources is one of the most impactful forms of arts philanthropy," notes Dr. Lena Shaw, a music education advocate. "It equips teachers with the practical tools needed to foster creativity in students."

The tour will cover significant ground across the Eastern and Southern United States, featuring a prominent stop at Nashville's Bridgestone Arena—a premier destination for major touring acts. The full itinerary is as follows: February 27 in Tampa, FL (Benchmark International Arena); March 1 in Charlotte, NC (Spectrum Center); March 2 in Norfolk, VA (Scope Arena); March 3 in Baltimore, MD (CFG Bank Arena); March 5 in Cincinnati, OH (Heritage Bank Center); March 6 in Columbus, OH (Nationwide Arena); March 7 in Nashville, TN (Bridgestone Arena); March 9 in Lexington, KY (Rupp Arena); March 11 in Charleston, SC (North Charleston Coliseum); March 13 in Orlando, FL (Kia Center); March 14 in Sunrise, FL (Amerant Bank Arena); March 16 & 17 in Estero, FL (Hertz Arena); April 24 in Greensboro, NC (First Horizon Coliseum); April 27 in Jacksonville, FL (VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena); and a final show on April 29 in Duluth, GA (Gas South Arena).
