Jessica Simpson, the multifaceted entertainer and business mogul, has entered a new phase of her career by selecting Independent Artist Group (IAG) as her new representation. This decision aligns with a notable resurgence in her creative output, which has recently included new music and a significant television appearance.
The agreement was finalized by IAG's CEO, Jim Osbourne. He highlighted Simpson's broad influence, stating, "Jessica is a true multi-hyphenate whose remarkable talents extend far beyond performing into building a pioneering celebrity brand and a hugely successful business empire. We are delighted to welcome her to IAG during this dynamic period and eager to collaborate on new ventures in film, television, music, and branding that support her artistic vision and expand her legacy." IAG's client list, which also includes diversified powerhouses like 50 Cent and Mary J. Blige, is a natural fit for Simpson's portfolio. The agency itself was formed in 2022 through the merger of two established firms, positioning it as a major player in talent representation.
This strategic shift follows a series of high-profile projects that have reestablished Simpson in the public eye. Musically, she released the critically acclaimed dual EPs "Nashville Canyon: Part 1 & Part 2" last year, which were praised for their introspective songwriting. On screen, she recently appeared in Ryan Murphy's 2025 series "All's Fair," playing LeeAnn, a rock star's vengeful spouse. These endeavors build upon the monumental success of her 2020 memoir, "Open Book." The New York Times bestseller not only captivated readers with its candor but also demonstrated her skill as a storyteller, leading to plans for a related unscripted project and a second book.
Concurrently, Simpson presides over the Jessica Simpson Collection, her pioneering fashion and lifestyle brand. Celebrating its 20th anniversary, the label—launched in 2005 with a focus on accessible style—has grown into a billion-dollar empire spanning apparel, footwear, accessories, and home goods. Industry experts often reference it as a benchmark for celebrity-led ventures, noting its sustained profitability is rare in a sector where many such brands falter after initial hype. Simpson first captured national attention in the late 1990s with pop anthems like "I Wanna Love You Forever," but her role on MTV's iconic reality series "Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica" transformed her into a household name, subsequently leading to film roles in projects such as "The Dukes of Hazzard."
Simpson was previously represented by Creative Artists Agency (CAA), one of Hollywood's most influential talent agencies.
