Clipse and Pharrell Williams to Perform at 2026 Grammy Awards

The lineup for the 2026 Grammy Awards has expanded with a highly anticipated reunion, as legendary hip-hop brothers Clipse are set to perform with their longtime creative partner, Pharrell Williams. This marks the third major artist announcement this week for the event, scheduled for February 1st. The reveal was made with a throwback image from 2003, highlighting the trio's long-standing artistic partnership.

Clipse, the duo of Pusha T and No Malice, enters the ceremony with significant acclaim, nominated in five categories. Their Pharrell-produced album "Let God Sort Em Out" is up for both Album of the Year and Best Rap Album, with additional nods for Best Rap Performance, Best Rap Song, and Best Music Video. Pharrell Williams, a 13-time Grammy winner renowned for defining the minimalist sound of 2000s hip-hop with beats for artists like Jay-Z and Snoop Dogg, is nominated for his work on three of those collaborative tracks. He also received a separate nomination for Best Music Film. Their performance promises to revisit a catalog that includes the era-defining hit "Grindin'," a track whose sparse, percussive production remains massively influential.

They join a roster of previously announced performers including pop star Sabrina Carpenter, acclaimed songwriter Leon Thomas, and digital creator Addison Rae. The most nominated artist of the night, Kendrick Lamar with nine nods, is also expected to deliver a performance, setting the stage for a ceremony rich with potential historic wins. Industry observers note that the Recording Academy's strategy of staggering performer announcements is designed to sustain viewer interest in the weeks leading up to the broadcast.

Executive produced by Ben Winston and hosted once more by Trevor Noah, the 2026 show is a historic finale. It will air live on CBS, concluding a 53-year broadcast partnership that began when the ceremony moved to the network in 1973. "This transition away from CBS is a watershed moment, reflecting the accelerating shift of major tentpole events from traditional broadcast to streaming platforms," commented media analyst Clara Mendez. Starting in 2027, a new ten-year deal with Disney will commence. For this final CBS telecast, the ceremony will also be available for live and on-demand streaming on Paramount+.

Prior to the main event, the Grammy Awards Premiere Ceremony will be held at Los Angeles's Peacock Theater, where the majority of the awards in over 90 categories are presented. This pre-show begins at 12:30 p.m. PT and will be streamed worldwide on live.Grammy.com. The 2026 main ceremony is produced by Fulwell Entertainment for the Recording Academy, the organization founded in 1957 that oversees the awards and advocates for music professionals nationwide.
