Show moreRaye Announces Sophomore Album ‘This Music May Contain Hope.’
British singer-songwriter Raye has revealed details for her eagerly awaited second album, "This Music May Contain Hope.," scheduled for release on March 27 through the label Human Re Sources. The project is structured as a conceptual double-vinyl, with each side representing a distinct season, creating a four-part journey. Pre-orders are now live, confirming the album will contain 17 songs, including the previously unveiled track "Where Is My Husband!".
In a personal statement, Raye framed the album as a therapeutic endeavor. "I've always believed music is medicine," she explained. "This is me creating that medicine for myself and offering it to others. It's meant to be a comforting hug, a soft place to land for anyone who needs to hear that things will be alright and to have faith in the seeds planted during harder times." This introspective approach follows a period of massive commercial success for the artist, whose 2023 debut "My 21st Century Blues" won critical acclaim and six BRIT Awards.
The announcement builds on tremendous momentum from her recent single. "Where Is My Husband!" recently topped the UK charts and just this week received two BRIT Award nominations for Song of the Year and Best Pop Act. Industry analysts note this continued chart dominance solidifies her transition from a sought-after songwriter for major artists to a formidable headline act in her own right.
Concurrent with the album news, Raye embarks on a major global tour. Her 51-date sold-out "This Tour May Contain New Music" arena trek begins tonight, with stops across Europe, the UK, and the United States, where the leg starts on March 31. In a significant coup, she has also been confirmed as the special guest on Bruno Mars's upcoming "The Romantic Tour." That stadium run begins in April and continues through the summer, dramatically expanding her audience reach. As one music journalist noted, "Securing a spot on a Bruno Mars stadium tour is a career-defining platform, signaling Raye's arrival at the very top tier of pop performance."
