Show moreHarry Styles to Deliver First Live TV Performance of ‘Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally’ Era at BRIT Awards
Harry Styles is set to premiere songs from his upcoming album live on television at the upcoming BRIT Awards. The ceremony, scheduled for February 28th at Manchester's new Co-op Live arena and hosted by comedian Jack Whitehall, will be broadcast on ITV and ITVX. Styles will perform alongside fellow nominee Olivia Dean. Dean and Lola Young lead this year's nominations with five each.
This performance is a key promotional event for Styles' fourth studio album, "Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally," which arrives on March 6th. The BRITs have historically been a powerful launchpad for UK album campaigns. Industry expert Clara Reeves observes, "A defining BRITs moment can capture the media cycle and significantly accelerate pre-release momentum, frequently resulting in a first-week chart impact increase of over 20%." Styles last graced the BRITs stage in 2023, when his album 'Harry's House' secured four awards.
The announcement coincides with news of a monumental tour extension that underscores his unparalleled drawing power. Styles has expanded his planned London residency at Wembley Stadium to a groundbreaking 12 nights. This shatters two major venue records: it exceeds Coldplay's tally for the most concerts there in a single year and surpasses Taylor Swift's record for the longest continuous solo artist run. Wembley Stadium, a historic 90,000-capacity venue that originally opened in 1923, has never before hosted a residency of this length, marking a new milestone for live events.
His global schedule highlights a broader industry trend toward lengthy engagements in key metropolitan centers. In addition to London, the tour features multi-night stops in Amsterdam, Sao Paulo, Mexico City, Melbourne, and Sydney. The most ambitious leg is a 30-show residency at New York's Madison Square Garden, an arena so iconic it is known as "The World's Most Famous Arena." This concentrated model reduces the physical demands of constant travel and allows an artist to create a sustained cultural moment within each city.
Hype for the new album was already building following the release of the lead single, "Aperture," and the unveiling of its 10-song tracklist. Eclectic titles like "American Girls," "Season 2 Weight Loss," "Pop," and "Dance No More" suggest Styles' ongoing exploration across musical styles. This inventive approach has characterized his solo work since he left One Direction, the phenomenally successful boy band he was part of from 2010 to 2015, which sold over 70 million records worldwide before its hiatus.
