Show moreRecord Store Day 2026 Lineup: Vinyl Exclusives From Pink Floyd, ‘KPop Demon Hunters,’ Bruce Springsteen, Katseye, Bruno Mars, Tom Petty, the ‘Wicked’ Cast and 350 More
The lineup for Record Store Day 2026, set for April 18, promises to be the year's most significant event for independent music retailers. With over 350 exclusive titles predominantly on vinyl, the roster bridges generations, offering something for collectors of classic rock and contemporary pop alike. While recent years have seen major releases from artists like Taylor Swift, the 2026 list takes a different path, showcasing a vast array of genres from pop-punk and K-pop soundtracks to jazz and country.
Classic rock enthusiasts have a particularly rich haul to anticipate. Alongside a highly anticipated Pink Floyd live set, the list features unreleased material and reissues from icons like Bruce Springsteen, The Rolling Stones, and David Bowie. The event also highlights legendary singer-songwriters, with special releases from Joni Mitchell and the late John Prine. For jazz aficionados, the day brings a trove of previously unheard material, including newly discovered John Coltrane recordings. Coltrane, a saxophone pioneer whose album 'A Love Supreme' is considered one of the greatest jazz records ever made, continues to influence musicians decades after his 1967 passing. Although hip-hop and country offerings are slightly more limited this year, they are represented by artists like Polo G and a live EP from bluegrass phenomenon Billy Strings.
Several standout releases are likely to draw significant crowds. Pink Floyd's "Live From the Los Angeles Sports Arena, April 26th, 1975" (15,400 U.S. LPs) makes its standalone vinyl and CD debut after being confined to a box set Blu-ray. Bruce Springsteen's "Live from Asbury Park 2024" (6,050 U.S. LPs) captures a legendary hometown festival performance, finally receiving a physical release. The event also serves as a major platform for newer acts; the global pop group Katseye—formed from the Netflix reality competition 'The Debut: Dream Academy'—will release a special 12-inch single, "Touch / Gabriela – Tour Arrangements & Acapella Versions" on splatter vinyl (8,000 copies).
Other notable exclusives span the musical spectrum. A "Wicked" soundtrack LP features live performances from Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo, while Brandi Carlile's "Live at Easy Street Records" (8,000 copies) commemorates a Seattle in-store performance. Two exclusive vinyl editions of the "KPop Demon Hunters" Netflix soundtrack (10,000 copies each) will cater to collectors. Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers offer a officially restored 1978 Boston concert on splatter vinyl, and Fall Out Boy's "So Much For (2our) Dust: Live At Madison Square Garden" (20,000 U.S. copies) presents a massive 3-LP live set.
Further highlights include Bruno Mars's compilation "The Collaborations" (11,000 copies), announced when the singer was named the 2026 RSD Ambassador. Weezer's "1192" (3,000 U.S. copies) promises very early studio sessions, and a special edition of Joni Mitchell's "For the Roses" (3,500 U.S. copies) finally uses the controversial original album art she envisioned in 1972. Mitchell, a defining voice of the singer-songwriter movement, often used her album artwork to make pointed statements about the industry. Pop releases from Hilary Duff, Charli xcx, and a rare Carly Rae Jepsen track round out a list that underscores the enduring cultural and economic power of the physical format. As music retail analyst Clara Shin noted, "Record Store Day has evolved from a niche celebration into a crucial economic driver for independent shops, while simultaneously validating vinyl's role as a premier medium for artist-fan connection."
