Show moreBad Bunny Gets His First Solo No. 1 on the Hot 100 With ‘DtMF,’ One of Four Songs He Has in Top 10 Post-Super Bowl
Bad Bunny has secured his first solo number one on the Billboard Hot 100, as "DtMF" ascends to the top spot more than a year after its debut. The artist, born Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, had previously reached the chart's summit only as a featured artist on Cardi B's 2018 hit "I Like It." Industry analysts note that his electrifying Super Bowl LVIII halftime performance provided the crucial final push, demonstrating the enduring power of the event as a cultural catalyst for music sales and streams.
The newly crowned hit enjoyed a massive week, with streams surging 85% to 43 million—the highest weekly streaming total for any song in 2026 and the best figure for a non-English-language track this decade. Radio airplay also jumped 56%, reaching 5.3 million audience impressions. This achievement marks "DtMF" as only the fourth primarily Spanish-language song to ever top the Hot 100, following iconic tracks like "La Bamba" (1987), "Macarena" (1996), and "Despacito" (2017).
Bad Bunny's chart dominance is historic in its scope. He currently commands four of the top ten positions, with "Baile Inolvidable" at No. 2, "Nuevayol" at No. 5, and the four-year-old fan favorite "Tití Me Preguntó" re-entering at No. 7. This mirrors a feat he first accomplished in 2022 upon the release of his blockbuster album *Un Verano Sin Ti*, which also saw four tracks debut in the top ten simultaneously. As one music data expert commented, "This level of sustained chart saturation by a single artist is rare. It speaks to both his prolific output and his unique connection with a global fanbase that consumes music in real-time."
Amid this takeover, Olivia Dean's "Man I Need" holds at No. 3 as the highest-charting song not by Bad Bunny, while last week's leader, Ella Langley's "Choosin' Texas," falls to No. 4. Taylor Swift's "Opalite" re-enters the top ten at No. 8 following its official single and music video release on February 6th. The track, from her 2025 album *The Life of a Showgirl*, saw streams increase 76% to 14.2 million and sold 7,000 downloads. Its chart position is expected to strengthen further as physical 7-inch singles, pre-ordered through her website, begin shipping to fans and count toward next week's sales figures.
Rounding out the top ten are Alex Warren's "Ordinary" at No. 6, "Golden" at No. 9, and Bruno Mars's "I Just Might" at No. 10. The chart's composition underscores a highly competitive landscape, where a major televised event can provide the final boost for a long-charting hit to finally reach the pinnacle.
