Young the Giant Sets Summer ‘Victory Garden’ Tour for Amphitheaters and Arenas (EXCLUSIVE)

This summer, the acclaimed rock band Young the Giant will embark on an extensive North American amphitheater tour, bringing their new album "Victory Garden" to life across nearly 40 cities. The nearly three-month trek, named the Victory Garden Tour, launches on May 24 in Las Vegas at the Pearl Concert Theater and concludes on August 9 in Indianapolis at the Everwise Amphitheater. The tour's routing emphasizes open-air venues, with most dates scheduled for iconic settings like New York's Pier 17, the Santa Barbara Bowl, and Chicago's Huntington Bank Pavilion, promising fans a summer of music under the stars. Only a handful of shows, including the Los Angeles date at the famed Kia Forum, will be held indoors.

Young the Giant, formed in Irvine, California, first broke through in 2010 with their self-titled debut album and its hit single "My Body." The Victory Garden Tour marks a significant return to headlining large-scale shows, their first in three years. Supporting the band for the entire journey will be fellow indie rockers Cold War Kids, who will use their set to mark the 20th anniversary of their influential debut record, "Robbers & Cowards." The opening act will shift midway through the schedule: Almost Monday will perform on the first leg of the tour, with KennyHoopla taking over for the second half.

Tickets for all dates go on sale to the general public this Friday at 10 a.m. local time. Fans eager for early access can participate in presales beginning Wednesday, with opportunities via Chorus at 10 a.m. local time and Seated at noon local time. Additional presales are scheduled throughout the week. Industry analysts note that this tour follows a strategic pattern for the band, who recently performed intimate "underplay" shows at Los Angeles's legendary Troubadour club to celebrate their early albums, building momentum ahead of this major amphitheater run.

In a statement, lead singer Sameer Gadhia framed the upcoming tour as a communal event. "We are honored to bring our new album 'Victory Garden' to life on the road. This tour feels like a gathering," Gadhia said. "It's about connection, resilience and finding moments of beauty and optimism in the middle of everything else." Guitarist Eric Cannata echoed the sentiment, adding, "This is our first headline tour in three years, and it feels especially meaningful. We've missed this kind of connection." The band's commitment to community extends beyond the music; they will continue their partnership with the environmental nonprofit Reverb to promote sustainability, address food insecurity, and fund local carbon reduction projects at each tour stop.

The tour supports the band's sixth studio album, "Victory Garden," which is set for release on May 1. The lead single, "Different Kind of Love," has already made a strong impact at radio, becoming the top-added track at alternative format stations upon its release. This new material follows the band's 2022 album, "American Bollywood," and signals a continued evolution in their sound. As one music critic noted, "Young the Giant has consistently managed to blend anthemic rock with introspective lyrics, a formula that has built a dedicated fanbase perfectly suited for these large-scale summer celebrations."
