Marshmello, Ashlee Simpson, Juicy J Tapped for Diplo’s HonkyTonk at Stagecoach 2026

For the fourth consecutive year, the Stagecoach festival in California will host Diplo's HonkyTonk tent, a signature attraction personally curated by the electronic music icon. The tent is renowned for its genre-blending lineup, a reflection of Diplo's own eclectic career, which spans from his chart-topping Silk City project with Mark Ronson to pioneering global beats with Major Lazer. The 2026 edition continues this tradition, promising a mix of EDM, pop, and comedy headlined by producer Marshmello, a collaborative set from pop singer Ashlee Simpson with the Emo Nite collective, and a performance by Three 6 Mafia co-founder Juicy J.

The full HonkyTonk roster showcases this deliberate eclecticism. It includes reality star-turned-DJ Pauly D, singer Rebecca Black—whose 2011 single "Friday" became a viral phenomenon—and a back-to-back comedy set from Theo Von and Caleb Pressley. The lineup also features electronic acts like the duo Two Friends, the combined act Dillstradamus (uniting producers Dillon Francis and Flosstradamus), Loud Luxury, Wuki, and others including Jeffro, Shaddix, and Slim McGraw. This strategy of unexpected pairings has become the tent's hallmark; past years have featured the electro-funk duo Chromeo, heiress Paris Hilton behind the decks, and mashup artist Girl Talk. One festival booker noted, "This curation isn't just about music; it's about creating a unique social experience that captures the playful, unpredictable spirit of a late-night party, which keeps audiences returning year after year."

Meanwhile, the broader Stagecoach festival, scheduled for April 24-26 at Indio's Empire Polo Club, is itself making a significant statement with its main stage. In a historic move, all three 2026 headliners—country stars Cody Johnson and Lainey Wilson, alongside the genre-hopping Post Malone—are first-time top-billed acts for the event. This marks a clear generational shift from the 2025 lineup, which was led by Zach Bryan, Jelly Roll, and Luke Combs. The Empire Polo Club, which also hosts the Coachella festival weeks earlier, provides the massive infrastructure necessary for such a large-scale production.

While firmly rooted in country music, Stagecoach has consistently expanded its reach by booking major artists from adjacent genres. The 2026 undercard powerfully illustrates this crossover appeal, featuring sets from rising country artist Bailey Zimmerman, the Southern rock-influenced Red Clay Strays, Riley Green, and the legendary rock band Journey. The lineup also includes iconic country duo Brooks & Dunn, alongside hip-hop and pop acts like Pitbull, Ludacris, Third Eye Blind, BigXthaPlug, and Hootie & the Blowfish. This eclectic booking philosophy, which last year included Lana Del Rey and the Backstreet Boys, strategically broadens the festival's demographic while maintaining its core identity, ensuring its position as a premier destination for live music in the American West.
