Show moreHarry Styles Concert to Stream on Netflix on ‘Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally’ Release Weekend
Harry Styles will mark the release of his latest album, "Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally," with a global Netflix concert special this Sunday. Titled "Harry Styles. One Night in Manchester," the film documents his first complete concert performance in almost three years, captured at the new Co-op Live arena. The special was produced by Fulwell 73, the production company co-founded by Styles' friend and former "Late Late Show" host James Corden. It is scheduled for a worldwide premiere on March 8 at 7 p.m. GMT.
This announcement arrives on the heels of Styles' recent BRIT Awards appearance, where he debuted choreography for his single "Aperture." A preview for the Netflix event features the singer playfully mimicking the platform's iconic introductory sound. Music industry analyst Clara Mendez notes this strategy is becoming standard. "A streaming concert film prior to a major tour is now a crucial promotional instrument," she explains. "It builds international excitement and serves fans unable to obtain tickets, essentially staging a global premiere." This approach follows a precedent set by artists like Taylor Swift, whose "Reputation Stadium Tour" Netflix special helped sustain momentum between tour legs.
The concert film was recorded on March 6, just ahead of Styles launching his vast "Together, Together" world tour. The itinerary focuses on extended residencies across seven major cities, commencing with a ten-concert series in Amsterdam on May 16. A central feature is a twelve-show engagement at London's famed Wembley Stadium, where he is anticipated to break two longstanding attendance records. Wembley Stadium, which reopened in 2007 on the site of the original 1923 venue, is the United Kingdom's largest sports and entertainment arena and has hosted historic performances from acts like Queen and Beyoncé.
Further emphasizing the tour's scale is a planned thirty-night residency at New York's iconic Madison Square Garden, a venue synonymous with legendary concert runs. Other stops include six nights in Mexico City, four in São Paulo, and dates in Melbourne and Sydney. This extensive schedule reflects the album's dance-oriented sound and underscores Styles' trajectory from his beginnings in the globally successful boy band One Direction to a solo superstar capable of selling out stadiums worldwide.
Styles' promotional efforts continue on television, where he is slated for the rare feat of serving as both host and musical guest on "Saturday Night Live" on March 14. This dual role places him among a select group of entertainers and highlights his multifaceted career as he promotes this new musical era. The concentrated rollout suggests a strategic effort to dominate the cultural conversation through multiple high-profile media channels simultaneously.
