Jill Scott Announces ‘To Whom This May Concern’ World Tour Dates
Jill Scott, the celebrated R&B and neo-soul vocalist, has unveiled plans for a 36-city global concert series titled "To Whom This May Concern." The tour, a collaboration with Live Nation Urban, is in support of her sixth studio album released earlier this year. It will commence with a special two-night opening at Nashville's historic Ryman Auditorium—a venue famed for its acoustic excellence and as the former home of the Grand Ole Opry—before visiting major metropolitan hubs like Los Angeles and New York.
Marking her most substantial touring commitment in nearly a decade, this announcement ends a prolonged break from international stages. Scott first rose to prominence with her platinum-certified 2000 debut, "Who Is Jill Scott? Words and Sounds," an album that helped shape the neo-soul genre with its intimate lyricism and powerful vocal delivery. The North American segment concludes in Dallas on September 3, after which the itinerary expands to include European and UK dates, culminating in a final performance in Cape Town, South Africa, on November 11.
Industry experts predict tickets will be highly sought-after, given the lengthy gap since her last major tour wrapped in 2015. "A tour of this scale after such a hiatus creates significant market demand," noted music analyst David Chen. "Scott has cultivated a dedicated, cross-generational fanbase that views her concerts not just as shows, but as transformative events." Initial access will be provided via an artist presale beginning March 10 at 10 a.m. local time through her official website, with the general public sale starting on March 11.
The tour promotes Scott's first album in over ten years, which itself represents a creative resurgence. The project, also titled "To Whom This May Concern," features collaborations with a diverse range of artists, including rappers Ab-Soul and J.I.D., iconic producer DJ Premier, and multi-instrumentalist Trombone Shorty. This new work heralds a dynamic phase for the three-time Grammy Award winner, whose past honors include a win for Best Urban/Alternative Performance. The full schedule features multi-night stops in cities such as Atlanta, Philadelphia, and Chicago, with international highlights including a show at London's prestigious Royal Albert Hall. It should be noted that a select group of dates, marked with an equals sign on the official itinerary, are not affiliated with Live Nation promotion.
