Show moreOlivia Dean, Charli xcx, Tate McRae to Headline Lollapalooza 2026
From July 30 through August 2, 2026, Lollapalooza will return to its longtime home in Chicago's sprawling Grant Park. The festival's headline roster showcases its signature genre diversity, uniting pop and indie forces like Olivia Dean, Charli XCX, Tate McRae, and Lorde with electronic standout John Summit and a solo festival set from BLACKPINK member Jennie. The bill is rounded out by veteran alternative rockers The Smashing Pumpkins and the influential, minimalist indie-electronic duo The xx, whose 2017 album 'I See You' marked a acclaimed return after a five-year hiatus.
A vast supporting lineup across eight stages promises non-stop music. It includes hip-hop's Lil Uzi Vert, the punk-tinged energy of Yungblud, and the highly anticipated reunion of rap duo Clipse, consisting of brothers Pusha T and Malice. Major electronic acts such as Major Lazer and The Chainsmokers will share the schedule with established names like rapper Freddie Gibbs, Mercury Prize-winning British artist Little Simz, and the psychedelic pop act Empire of the Sun. Rising talents set to perform include Wet Leg, 5 Seconds of Summer, Jade, Audrey Hobert, and Zara Larsson. With over 100 acts typically featured, the curation is designed to cater to a wide spectrum of fans. A festival booker noted, "Our goal is to create a living snapshot of the current musical landscape, which is increasingly defined by artists who defy easy categorization and draw from a global palette of influences."
The ticket sales strategy employs a tiered pricing model. An initial presale begins Thursday at 10 a.m. Central Time, offering a one-hour window to secure the lowest-priced four-day general admission passes. Prices will rise when the general public on-sale starts at 11 a.m. CT. Various VIP packages, which have become a financial cornerstone for major festivals, will also be available, granting access to premium viewing areas and exclusive lounges. This structure allows the event to accommodate different budget levels while optimizing revenue, a critical practice in an industry where production costs continue to climb.
This Chicago announcement follows closely on the heels of Lollapalooza's recent Chile edition, headlined by Sabrina Carpenter, Doechii, and Tyler, the Creator, highlighting the brand's global operational tempo. Founded in 1991 by Perry Farrell of Jane's Addiction as a touring alternative rock carnival, the festival underwent a hiatus before being revived in 2003. It established its permanent Chicago base in 2005, which proved so successful it spawned an international expansion to cities including Berlin, Buenos Aires, and Mumbai. This global network not only spreads brand recognition but also creates efficiencies in artist booking, often allowing top-tier acts to play multiple Lollapalooza dates across different continents in a single touring cycle.
By blending deep historical roots with expansive international ambition, Lollapalooza 2026 reinforces its dual role as an essential Chicago summer institution and a key player in the worldwide festival circuit. The full lineup for the Grant Park event is listed below.
