Show moreTaylor Swift Set to Appear on iHeartRadio Music Awards Show
In a significant booking for the annual ceremony, Fox and iHeartMedia confirmed Wednesday that Taylor Swift will appear in person at the 2026 iHeartRadio Music Awards. The global superstar, whose record-shattering "Eras Tour" recently concluded, will not perform but her live attendance alone is a major coup for the broadcast. Swift has maintained a notably low public profile since late last year, focusing on her tour's final leg and a pair of Disney+ specials, making this a rare televised appearance.
The event is scheduled for March 26, broadcasting live on Fox from Hollywood's Dolby Theatre—the longtime home of the Academy Awards—from 8-10 p.m. ET, with a tape-delayed airing for the West Coast. It will also be simulcast across iHeartRadio stations and the iHeartRadio app. Swift arrives with a commanding nine nominations, the most of any artist this year. These nods span categories including Artist of the Year and Song of the Year, primarily for her hit "The Fate of Ophelia" and the streaming special "The Eras Tour | The End of an Era."
Industry analysts often note that awards shows benefit more from Swift's presence than she does from them, yet a timely promotional synergy exists. Her appearance aligns with the recent radio push for "Elizabeth Taylor," the third official single from her blockbuster album "The Life of a Showgirl." The track, which previously hit No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 from streaming alone, now marks her first three-single album campaign since 2022's "Midnights." As one music strategist observed, "A live awards show moment is the perfect catalyst to boost a song's radio momentum, and iHeart's vast network is an ideal partner for that."
The ceremony will be hosted by Ludacris, who will also receive the 2026 iHeartRadio Landmark Award. A slate of other special honors includes Miley Cyrus as the iHeartRadio Innovator, Alex Warren as Breakthrough Artist of the Year, and John Mellencamp as the Icon Award recipient. The performance lineup features Ludacris, Warren, Mellencamp, Lainey Wilson, Raye, and a historic collaborative set from 90s R&B and hip-hop legends TLC, Salt-N-Pepa, and En Vogue.
Additional presenters and guests will include Olympic figure skater Alysa Liu, social media personality Sombr, Nicole Scherzinger of The Pussycat Dolls—who recently announced a partial reunion—alongside Ne-Yo, comedian Nikki Glaser, and the band Weezer. Executive production is handled by Jesse Collins Entertainment, iHeartMedia's John Sykes, Tom Poleman, and Bart Peters, and Fox Entertainment Studios.
