"It's ironic being on this side of a panel of judges, when I'm usually the one doing the judging," he said. While panelist Robin Thicke guessed correctly, others speculated about figures like Steve Harvey. For his last performance, Mathis delivered a rendition of Earth, Wind & Fire's "Shining Star." Evan Ross's unmasking was all but confirmed by a clue plaque signed "Mother Supreme," a clear reference to his iconic mother, Diana Ross, whose career with The Supremes and as a solo artist has sold over 100 million records worldwide. Ross performed The Weeknd's "Starboy" before his elimination. The installment began with the judges in full sci-fi costume, including Ken Jeong as Spock.
