Show moreJohn Summit Taps Subtronics, Prospa and Taiki Nulight for Experts Only Festival 2026
John Summit has revealed the lineup for his Experts Only Festival's sophomore year, set to take place September 19-20 on New York's Randall's Island. The event, which drew over 50,000 people for its debut in 2025, will again feature the curator as a headliner. The initial artist confirmation includes LYNY, Prospa, Rohaan, Taiki Nulight, Devault, Dreya V, OMRI., Partiboi69, Jackie Hollander, Airrica, Gabss, MADI, Soraya, and Korolova. A major highlight is the special back-to-back performance SUBJOHNICS, a collaborative project between Summit and fellow heavyweight Subtronics, with more acts to be announced.
The festival is a joint production by Medium Rare, Relentless Beats, and EMW, and acts as the flagship for Summit's Experts Only record label. He formally relaunched the imprint under that name in 2023, declaring it a home for "music & events without limits." This move exemplifies a growing industry model where top artists use large-scale events to directly promote their label's roster and aesthetic. "By aligning his festival so closely with his label, Summit is creating a self-reinforcing ecosystem," observes music business analyst David Reeves. "It strengthens his brand, provides a platform for his signed artists, and offers fans a cohesive experience that goes beyond a simple concert." The previous edition successfully featured dual headline sets from Summit alongside acts like Kaskade b2b Cassian.
This announcement also strategically builds momentum for Summit's imminent album, "CTRL ESCAPE," slated for an April 15 release via Experts Only and Darkroom Records. His relentless touring schedule underscores his current peak; he recently performed at Miami's Ultra Music Festival and has upcoming slots at EDC Las Vegas and Ultra South Africa. Later in 2026, he will embark on a debut residency in Ibiza, a Mediterranean island long synonymous with electronic music culture and a traditional proving ground for DJs of his stature.
Tickets for the 2026 Experts Only Festival will first be available through an artist and festival pre-sale starting April 3 at 10 a.m. ET. General admission follows with an onsale at 12 p.m. ET the same day. The event's rapid growth mirrors a wider shift in the live music sector, where major DJ-producers are increasingly cultivating destination festivals around their personal brands. These gatherings offer a more immersive fan experience than a typical club night, often incorporating elaborate stage production and community-focused activities that standard tours cannot accommodate.
