American audiences will experience a more intimate side of Shakira in summer 2026, as the global superstar adds a special limited arena run to her ongoing world tour. Promoters are framing this dozen-show U.S. leg as a rare, personal concert opportunity, contrasting with the massive stadium dates that have defined the tour so far. The run kicks off on June 13 at California's new Intuit Dome and wraps on July 25, a schedule that intriguingly overlaps with the FIFA World Cup being hosted across North American cities, potentially creating a vibrant convergence of international music and sports fandom.
This stateside announcement comes on the heels of a historic touring chapter in Latin America. Shakira recently performed a free concert for an estimated 400,000 people in Mexico City's Zócalo, the city's vast central square and a traditional gathering place for major public events, setting a new attendance record for the venue. That spectacle capped a monumental 13-show stadium residency in Monterrey, where she sold over 800,000 tickets. Since its launch in 2025, her "Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran" tour has been a commercial juggernaut, holding the Guinness World Record for the highest-grossing tour by a Latin artist, with current totals of $421.6 million and 3.3 million tickets sold across 86 shows. "Transitioning from global stadiums to sought-after arenas is a strategic move that deepens artist-fan connection," notes industry analyst Maria Fernandez of Billboard. "It leverages her record-breaking momentum while catering to a demand for more exclusive experiences."
Ticket access for the U.S. dates will begin with open presales, requiring no special codes. As the tour's official card, Citi cardmembers gain first access starting Friday, April 3, at 10 a.m. local time via Citi Entertainment. A concurrent presale for Verizon customers will run from April 3-6 for select shows. General public tickets follow on Thursday, April 9, at 10 a.m. local time through shakira.com. For fans seeking a premium experience, various VIP packages will be offered, which are expected to include prime seating, exclusive merchandise, and pre-show lounge access.
The arena run will hit major markets including Dallas at the American Airlines Center, Miami at the Kaseya Center, and Boston at TD Garden. New York City will host two performances: one at Brooklyn's Barclays Center and another at the UBS Arena in Belmont Park. Following this U.S. leg, the global tour continues with previously announced stops, including a massive free concert on Rio de Janeiro's Copacabana Beach—a venue famed for hosting historic events like the 1994 New Year's Eve celebration for over 2 million people—and an 11-show residency in Madrid at a specially constructed venue dubbed the Shakira Stadium. This phased approach underscores the tour's evolving scale, designed to maintain momentum and audience engagement across different continents and venue types.
