Metallica Announce 2027 North American Tour Dates

Metallica will carry its M72 World Tour into 2027 with an additional North American stadium leg, promoter Live Nation confirmed. Since launching in April 2023, the trek has logged 99 performances across 26 countries. The next stretch opens May 8, 2027, at BC Place in Vancouver and wraps June 19, 2027, at Rice-Eccles Stadium in Salt Lake City. Along the way, the group will play twelve cities it has not yet visited on this cycle, spanning the American Southwest, the Midwest and other regions. Limp Bizkit and Avatar are slated to support on every date. The tour follows in the footsteps of Metallica's sprawling 1991–1993 "Wherever We May Roam" run, which reached 27 countries, and it carries forward that arena-scale ambition with a stage built around a colossal circular centerpiece.

Ticket access will unfold in stages. Fan Club presales open Monday, September 21 at 10am local time, with further presales arriving throughout the week before the general onsale on Friday, September 25 at 10am local time. Citi cardmembers get early entry from September 22 at 10am local time through September 24 at 10pm local time under the Citi Entertainment program; details are available at citientertainment.com. Verizon customers can tap an exclusive presale for the newly added U.S. shows through Verizon Shine over the same window. That program offers members curated experiences and daily drops, from concert and sports tickets to merchandise, dining vouchers and gift cards, and customers can opt in through the My Verizon App. Expectations for demand remain high: when the 2023 North American dates went on sale, multiple stadiums cleared out within hours, forcing extra shows in markets such as Los Angeles and New York.
