Trafalgar Releasing and HYBE are taking their cinema festival worldwide for the first time, with the event now branded as HYBE Cine Fest. The festival is set to run from October 24 to 31 and will be available in over 60 territories, following its 2024 debut in Latin America and its expansion into Asia in 2025. Trafalgar Releasing, a specialist in event cinema distribution, has previously handled big-screen concert releases for artists including Taylor Swift and Beyoncé, giving the company significant experience in bringing live music to cinema audiences globally.
Six separate presentations make up this year's program. Two live broadcasts from the BTS World Tour "Arirang" are among the highlights, along with concert films from Seventeen, Tomorrow X Together, and Enhypen, plus an interactive 3D "HYBE Cheering Party." The first BTS broadcast will be transmitted from Buenos Aires, showing October 24 in the Americas and October 25 in other regions. This marks BTS's first performance ever in Argentina. A second BTS broadcast from São Paulo, the final stop on the group's Latin American tour, will screen October 30 in the Americas and October 31 elsewhere. Seventeen's film follows their "New" world tour, Tomorrow X Together's movie captures "Act : Tomorrow," their fourth global tour, and Enhypen's film revisits the Seoul concert that kicked off the "Blood Saga" tour. HYBE, founded by Bang Si-hyuk, has grown into one of the most influential entertainment companies in South Korea, with labels including Bighit Music, Belift Lab, Source Music, and Pledis Entertainment under its umbrella.
The "HYBE Cheering Party" screening is designed for audience participation, letting fans sing along with on-screen lyrics and wave light sticks to music videos. The artist lineup features BTS, Seventeen, Tomorrow X Together, Enhypen, Le Sserafim, &Team, Boynextdoor, TWS, Illit, Katseye, aoen, Cortis, and Santos Bravos. Tickets become available on September 30. Marc Allenby, chief executive officer of Trafalgar Releasing, commented on the expansion: "Following the incredible response to HYBE Cine Fest across Latin America and Asia, we are scaling this festival format to global cinema audiences. Bringing together major concert films, interactive 3D cheering parties, and landmark live broadcasts across a single week gives fans everywhere an unprecedented way to celebrate their favorite HYBE artists together in cinemas."
This year, the festival's Special Location program, which provides interactive fan zones, merchandise, and pop-up stores at selected cinemas, is extending into North America and Europe. It had previously been limited to Latin America and Asia. Trafalgar Releasing works with more than 15,000 cinemas in 132 countries, and the company's track record with concert films for major artists suggests the global expansion of HYBE Cine Fest could set a new benchmark for event cinema in the K-pop sector.
