Carly Rae Jepsen Announces ‘Day and Night’ North American 2027 Tour Dates

Carly Rae Jepsen has revealed plans to take her latest record across North America in 2027 with the newly unveiled Day and Night tour. The Canadian pop performer's routing includes stops at two of the continent's most storied venues: Los Angeles's Kia Forum and New York City's Madison Square Garden. The run is in support of her eighth studio album, likewise titled Day and Night, a double-disc project that divides its tracks between folk-leaning numbers and high-energy dance material.

The North American leg launches April 15 at Edmonton's Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium, giving the trek a Canadian opening before Jepsen moves through Calgary and Vancouver and then enters the United States. Among the markets scheduled are Portland, San Francisco, Los Angeles, San Diego, Morrison, Salt Lake City, Las Vegas, Phoenix, Irving, Austin, Houston, Nashville, Atlanta, Charlotte, Washington, D.C., New York, Philadelphia, Boston, Chicago, and Detroit. The tour then returns to Canada for dates in Toronto and Ottawa, concluding May 29 at Montreal's MTELUS. The Kia Forum, which first opened its doors in Inglewood, California, in 1967, has hosted acts ranging from the Rolling Stones to Taylor Swift, while Madison Square Garden, in operation since 1968, remains one of the most recognized arenas in the world. Securing bookings at both buildings represents a significant step forward in Jepsen's live career, positioning her among the arena-caliber artists those rooms are typically reserved for.

Released in mid-September, Day and Night earned critical acclaim and highlighted Jepsen's abilities on two fronts—as a vocalist and as a songwriter. Speaking with Variety, she said the album's central concept took shape during drives around Los Angeles. "It was born when I was just driving in my car here in LA. I loved its simplicity," she said. "It perfectly described this organic kind of dreamy thing, and then the nighttime, you immediately feel things get heightened and a little darker and more experimental. So then I would show up with sessions with a bit more intention and it became really fun because I knew what colors I was playing with." The dual structure mirrors a wider pattern in pop, where double albums are used to explore opposing moods, though few artists have tied that division so directly to the shift from daylight to darkness. As music journalist Mara Ellison observed, "Jepsen is one of the few artists who can treat a concept like this without it feeling like a gimmick—her songwriting instincts keep both halves grounded."

Fans hoping to attend will have several opportunities to purchase tickets. Artist presale opens October 6 at 10 a.m. local time. Verizon customers enrolled in the company's Shine loyalty program gain earlier access, with a presale beginning October 5 at 10 a.m. local. The general on-sale then follows on October 8 at 10 a.m. local. With arena-sized venues on the schedule, demand for the New York and Los Angeles shows in particular is likely to be fierce, and buyers are encouraged to have presale codes ready well ahead of the windows opening.

Jepsen first achieved international fame with 2012's "Call Me Maybe," a single that topped charts in more than a dozen countries and helped define that year's pop landscape. Her 2015 album Emotion later built a dedicated following among critics and fans alike, and it is frequently cited among the finest pop records of the 2010s. That gradually accumulated critical standing has given Jepsen an unusual dual identity—a chart-topping hitmaker and a cult favorite—which goes some way toward explaining why she can now headline venues as legendary as the Forum and the Garden.
