Kali Uchis delivered an unforgettable show in Los Angeles on Wednesday, treating fans to two major surprises during the night

She brought out Peso Pluma for the debut live rendition of their steamy Latin Grammy-nominated collaboration "Igual Que Un Ángel." Uchis made a grand entrance adorned with expansive white angel wings, while Peso Pluma, dressed in all black, grinned widely as they performed together. Their chemistry was palpable, making the moment feel both personal and electrifying, and the crowd responded with massive enthusiasm. The concert took place at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, marking the first of two completely sold-out evenings there. Uchis is wrapping up her inaugural North American arena tour in support of her fifth studio album, "Sincerely," with one final Los Angeles stop planned for the Intuit Dome in September. Artists often find new ways to connect with audiences as their careers progress, and Uchis appears to be leaning into more visually expressive elements lately. The scale of the venues she’s playing now clearly reflects her expanding influence and the loyal following she continues to cultivate. For the main set’s conclusion, Uchis made a striking exit by stepping through a freestanding door. She returned for an encore, offering an a cappella take on "Territorial" and previewing what seemed to be a new song called "Cry About It." The unreleased ballad showcased her airy, delicate vocals as she sang the lyrics, "Too bad, so sad / You should cry about it / Llora, llora, hasta que ya te deje de doler." In a recent conversation with Variety, Uchis opened up about the deeply personal nature of her latest album, sharing, "I feel like putting this record out will start a new phase for me. I hope sharing it with everyone brings a sense of renewal and calm."
