In a significant effort to empower future leaders, Karol G's Con Cora Foundation has teamed up with LatinoJustice PRLDEF to introduce the Latina Pwr initiative, designed to elevate emerging Latina leaders across the United States. The Con Cora Foundation—founded by the Colombian global phenomenon behind history-making albums like "Mañana Será Bonito"—embodies her commitment to creating pathways for women. Partnering with LatinoJustice, a civil rights organization with 50 years of experience championing equity and leadership development, the program will celebrate the strength and cultural influence of Latinas while providing access to positions of impact.
The Latina PWR for Leadership program is scheduled to run in New York from September 2025 through July 2026, focusing on increasing representation in law, advocacy, and related fields. It will prioritize first-generation college students who demonstrate exceptional promise despite systemic barriers. According to civil rights scholar Dr. Elena Márquez, “Initiatives like this are essential—they don’t just transform individual lives, they help rebalance entire professional ecosystems.” The effort builds on LatinoJustice’s track record of nurturing more than 10,000 leaders throughout its history.
