Indian Pop Star King, Warner Music Unveil High-Energy Video for ‘Kamaal Hai,’ First Taste of Sixth Studio Album (EXCLUSIVE)

Indian pop sensation King has launched his latest single, "Kamaal Hai," a vibrant pop-dance track released in partnership with Warner Music India. The song, co-composed by King and Aditya Dev with lyrics penned by the artist, is the first preview of his sixth studio album, due early next year. Actress Sahher Bambba, recognized for her performance in "The Ba***ds of Bollywood," appears alongside King in the accompanying music video.

Filmed in Kochi under the direction of Lendrick Kumar, the video presents a stylized gangster narrative that merges action and comedy. The visual aesthetic is amplified by vintage cars and period-specific costumes, with veteran actor Lilliput (M.M. Faruqui) adding a memorable presence. King expressed enthusiasm for the project, calling it the launch of a fresh artistic chapter. He praised the contributions of Bambba and Lilliput, and highlighted Kumar’s ability to translate the song’s energy into a cinematic experience filled with dance, humor, and action.

Bambba recalled the positive and dynamic atmosphere during filming, attributing the project’s success to the director’s guidance and King’s creative spirit. She described the experience as liberating and expressed pride in the final outcome. This emphasis on high-production music videos reflects a broader industry trend where visual storytelling is key to standing out in a crowded digital landscape. As media strategist Rohan Mehta observed, “Integrated audio-visual projects not only capture attention but also help artists like King cultivate a dedicated international fanbase.”

King, whose real name is Arpan Kumar Chandel, rose to fame with the 2021 viral track "Maan Meri Jaan." His rapid ascent includes a historic entry into Spotify’s Global Top 25 chart—a rare achievement for an Indian solo act—signaling his growing worldwide influence. The artist is scheduled to perform at the Music Head Festival in Itanagar on November 22, with a full tour of India expected to be announced in the coming weeks.

The "Kamaal Hai" music video is now streaming across all major digital platforms.
