Rihanna’s Beverly Hills Home Targeted by Shooting While She Was Inside; Woman Taken Into Custody

An incident involving gunfire occurred at Rihanna's residence in Beverly Hills on Sunday, as confirmed by the Los Angeles Times. The publication, citing a law enforcement source, reported that the multi-platinum singer and Fenty Beauty founder was present inside the property when shots were fired at approximately 1:15 p.m. Pacific Time.

According to the report, a woman discharged multiple rounds from a white Tesla parked opposite the estate's entrance. One bullet penetrated an exterior wall of the home, with additional bullet holes discovered in the security gate and a recreational vehicle parked outside. Los Angeles Police Department Sergeant Jonathan de Vera confirmed there were no injuries. A 30-year-old female suspect was apprehended, though her identity and the motive behind the attack remain undisclosed as the investigation continues.

Following the 911 call, police tracked the fleeing Tesla via helicopter as it traveled south on Coldwater Canyon Drive. The vehicle was followed to a Sherman Oaks shopping center, where authorities made an arrest roughly thirty minutes after the initial report. LAPD spokesperson Armen Arias informed the Times that a search of the suspect's car yielded an assault rifle and seven shell casings.

Rihanna shares the Beverly Hills home with her partner, rapper A$AP Rocky—known for hits like "Praise the Lord"—and their three young children: sons RZA and Riot, and their daughter Rocki, born just over five months ago. It is currently unknown if other family members or staff were on the premises during the incident. Security experts often note that high-profile estates in areas like Beverly Hills, while gated, can still be vulnerable to targeted approaches from public streets.

Representatives for the artist, whose last studio album "Anti" was released in 2016 before she focused on her billion-dollar business empire, have not yet responded to Variety's request for comment on the shooting.
