Snoop Dogg to Perform at Race to Erase MS Gala (EXCLUSIVE)
Hip-hop legend Snoop Dogg is set to headline the 33rd annual Race to Erase MS Gala, scheduled for June 5 at the Fairmont Century Plaza in Los Angeles. The iconic rapper, known for his laid-back style and enduring influence, expressed his enthusiasm for supporting the cause. "I am thrilled to be able to perform at this year’s MS Gala in LA to bring attention to a great cause and important work that helps so many people," Snoop Dogg stated, highlighting his commitment to raising awareness for multiple sclerosis research.
Snoop Dogg, whose career spans over three decades, boasts an impressive resume that includes 22 studio albums and more than 40 million records sold globally. The multi-platinum artist, who earned 20 Grammy Award nominations and topped charts worldwide, has also ventured into entrepreneurship, including investments in cannabis and media. His performance is expected to inject significant energy into the evening, drawing on his extensive catalog of hits that have shaped hip-hop culture since the 1990s. According to entertainment analyst Dr. Lena Hart, "Snoop Dogg's involvement in charity galas often amplifies their reach, leveraging his cross-generational appeal to attract diverse audiences."
The gala, founded in 1993 by philanthropist Nancy Davis, supports the Race to Erase MS foundation, which focuses on advancing treatments and finding a cure for multiple sclerosis. The annual event is a cornerstone of the organization's fundraising efforts, directly benefiting its Center Without Walls program—a collaborative network of researchers working on innovative therapies. "Each year, the Race to Erase MS Gala unites a passionate community dedicated to finding a cure," Davis said. "We’re thrilled to welcome Snoop Dogg, a true icon, whose exciting performance will bring incredible energy to an all-inspiring evening."
Beyond Snoop Dogg's headline act, the evening will feature a lineup of notable participants. Disney Entertainment Television Communications EVP Naomi Bulochnikov-Paul will receive the organization’s Medal of Hope for her contributions to the cause. TV personality and ESPN sports analyst Jesse Palmer, known for hosting "The Bachelor," will serve as the evening's host. The program also includes a fashion show from L’Agence, a silent auction, and a dinner complemented by additional live musical performances.
