Show moreEagles Extend Las Vegas Sphere Residency With Six Shows in Fall 2026
The Eagles have announced a sixth expansion of their celebrated Las Vegas residency at the Sphere, adding six new performances to what is already a historic run. The additional shows are scheduled for September 18 and 19, as well as November 13, 14, 27, and 28, all in 2026. With this latest update, the "Eagles: Live in Concert at Sphere" series will encompass 64 concerts, making it the longest-running residency ever held at the venue. Since its debut in September 2024, the production has received widespread praise for its seamless integration of the band's classic hits with the Sphere's cutting-edge visual technology, delivering an immersive, multi-sensory experience that captivates audiences. Music critic David Miller of *Rolling Stone* observed, "The Eagles have managed to do something remarkable here—they've turned a high-tech spectacle into an intimate journey through rock history, proving that even the most advanced venue can serve the song, not overshadow it."
Fans eager to attend can access general ticket sales for the September and November 2026 dates starting Friday, May 15, at 10:00 AM Pacific Time via Ticketmaster. To ensure genuine fans get priority, an early Artist presale registration is now open, with the presale itself kicking off on Wednesday, May 13, at 10 AM PT. Additional presale windows will follow on Thursday, May 14, also at 10 AM PT. Ticket prices begin at $175, with all-in pricing—meaning the displayed cost includes all taxes and fees. A limited number of VIP Ticket Packages will also be offered, featuring premium seating, exclusive merchandise, dedicated parking, and other perks. The Sphere, which opened in September 2023 at a cost of $2.3 billion, is known for its 160,000-square-foot LED screen and advanced audio system, making it a landmark in live entertainment technology. Industry analyst Sarah Jenkins of *Live Entertainment Weekly* notes, "The all-in pricing model is becoming increasingly standard for high-demand residencies, as it provides upfront transparency and reduces fan frustration at checkout."
The band kicked off 2026 with a historic achievement, becoming the first act to earn Quadruple Diamond certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). This honor signifies sales of over 40 million units (40x Platinum) for their compilation *Their Greatest Hits 1971–1975*, which remains the best-selling album of all time in the United States. Notably, this collection was also the first album to be certified Platinum by the RIAA back in 1976. Additionally, the iconic *Hotel California* album has been re-certified 28x Platinum, making it the third best-selling album in U.S. history. These impressive numbers highlight the Eagles' enduring cultural influence and their ability to connect with listeners across generations, reflecting songwriting that feels both timeless and deeply rooted in American music traditions. The band, originally formed in Los Angeles in 1971, has sold over 150 million records worldwide, cementing their status as one of the best-selling musical acts of all time.
In his review of the residency's opening night, Variety's Chris Willman captured the sense of awe, describing a concertgoer who repeatedly exclaimed "Oh my God!" upon entering the Sphere and throughout the performance. Willman characterized the experience as a "virginity-losing experience" for first-time visitors, with the wrap-around screen delivering dazzling, large-scale visuals. However, he noted that the residency does not aim to reinvent the technological formula pioneered by earlier acts like U2 and the Grateful Dead at the venue. Instead, it demonstrates how a band can harness the Sphere's capabilities while keeping the music front and center, blending spectacular visual moments with a more restrained, tasteful approach that suits the Eagles' classic rock legacy. This balance, according to Willman, is what makes the show both a visual marvel and a deeply musical experience, ensuring that even as technology evolves, the power of live performance remains undiminished.
