Hayley Williams Unveils Full Itinerary for Fall Amphitheater Tour, Which Will Include Material From All Her Solo Albums Plus ‘Surprises’

Fans who missed out on the fiercely competitive tickets for Hayley Williams' ongoing theater tour are in luck. The Paramore frontwoman, whose solo career has thrived since the band's hiatus, has unveiled a fresh slate of shows in larger amphitheaters this fall. However, initial signs suggest these bigger venues will still pose a formidable challenge for eager ticket buyers. Williams announced the itinerary for "The Hayley Williams Show — Live in the Americas" on Thursday, with U.S. dates spanning from early September to mid-October, before heading to Latin America for the rest of the month. The announcement comes amid a broader resurgence in live music demand, where artists like Taylor Swift and Beyoncé have similarly struggled to meet fan interest. Industry analysts note that post-pandemic concert attendance has surged, with scalping and bot-driven purchases exacerbating the scarcity.

The setlists for these upcoming performances will differ notably from her current theater run, which has zeroed in almost entirely on material from her album "Ego Death at a Bachelorette Party." According to the official statement, the fall shows will incorporate songs from all three of her solo albums, "as well as exciting surprises." This tantalizingly vague phrasing has ignited speculation among fans, who wonder if it hints at Paramore classics like "Misery Business" or "Still Into You," or perhaps additional cover songs. The mystery will likely be resolved around Labor Day when the tour kicks off. Notably, two previously announced U.S. stops—two-night engagements at New York's Forest Hills Stadium and Los Angeles' Hollywood Bowl—sold out instantly, underscoring the intense demand for Williams' live performances. Forest Hills Stadium, a historic tennis venue in Queens that has hosted concerts since the 1960s, and the iconic Hollywood Bowl, which has featured legendary acts since 1922, both proved no match for the singer's devoted fanbase. Music critic Sarah Jenkins of Rolling Stone noted, "Williams' ability to command such prestigious venues reflects her evolution from pop-punk star to a mature solo artist with a diverse catalog."

Tickets for the newly announced shows, spanning cities including Boston, Atlanta, Palm Beach, Charlotte, Detroit, New Orleans, Houston, Seattle, San Diego, and Raleigh, go on sale May 14 at 10 a.m. local time. Supporting acts for the U.S. leg include the synth-pop duo Magdalena Bay and rapper Rico Nasty, while Annie DiRusso will open for Latin American and Puerto Rico dates. Given the overwhelming demand, organizers have implemented a rigorous system to ensure tickets reach genuine fans. "A verified presale registration process has been established," the announcement states, with registration for the HW HQ presale opening at 3 p.m. ET on May 7 via a dedicated website. In the U.S., the tour will utilize Ticketmaster's Face Value Exchange, making tickets non-transferable and only resellable on the platform at original price. However, in Illinois and New York, where state laws prohibit such restrictions, tickets can be transferred, though Ticketmaster will still enforce face-value resale pricing on its site. This approach aims to curb scalping, a persistent issue in the live music industry, particularly for high-demand tours like Williams'. The full itinerary, including both new and previously announced dates, is listed below. The use of face-value exchanges has gained traction recently, with artists like Bruce Springsteen and Ed Sheeran adopting similar measures to combat secondary market inflation.
