Kehlani has officially unveiled the schedule for her upcoming "The Kehlani World Tour: North America," a 33-date trek spanning from early August through the start of October. The R&B vocalist will be joined on the road by a rotating lineup of special guests, including Durand Bernarr, Isaia Huron, TheARTI$t, and Waseel. The tour is set to launch on August 6 at The Armory in Minneapolis, a venue known for hosting major acts in the heart of the Midwest. Kehlani, whose 2024 self-titled album marked a significant milestone in her career, will perform at iconic locations such as New York City's Barclays Center and Los Angeles' Intuit Dome before wrapping up the North American leg at San Francisco's Shoreline Amphitheatre on October 3. This ambitious itinerary reflects her growing stature in the music industry, as she balances intimate amphitheater shows with larger arena stops.
Ticket access begins with an artist presale on May 27 at 10 a.m. local time, followed by additional presales throughout the week. General public sales will commence on May 29 at 10 a.m. local time via her official website. In a notable philanthropic move, Kehlani will donate $1 from every ticket sold to the Kehlani Fund, established by Live Nation in partnership with PLUS1, an organization that supports community-based causes. This initiative aligns with a broader trend among artists using tours to give back, as seen with other musicians like Billie Eilish and Taylor Swift who have incorporated charitable components into their recent tours. For fans seeking premium experiences, VIP packages are expected to include early entry, exclusive merchandise, and access to soundcheck events, though specific details have yet to be announced.
Kehlani's self-titled album, released in April, debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200, marking the biggest opening week for an R&B album by a female artist this year. The project pays homage to early 2000s R&B and hip-hop, blending nostalgic production with contemporary themes. Its lead single, "Folded," earned two Grammy Awards earlier this year, solidifying her status as a critical and commercial force. Music critic Sarah Johnson of Rolling Stone noted, "Kehlani's ability to channel 2000s-era influences while maintaining her distinct voice makes this album a standout in modern R&B." The tour's full itinerary includes stops in major markets like Atlanta, Miami, and Seattle, with a notable exception: Durand Bernarr will not perform at the Milwaukee date on August 7. Fans can expect a dynamic live show that mirrors the album's eclectic sound, as Kehlani continues to build on her reputation as a compelling performer.
