Phoebe Bridgers Turns Madison Square Garden Into Her Living Room With Intimate, Phone-Free Show Featuring Eight New Songs: Concert Review
Show morePhoebe Bridgers Announces 2026 ‘The Lost Tour’ Dates
Phoebe Bridgers has officially announced her 2026 "The Lost Tour," a major arena trek that follows a completely sold-out acoustic performance at New York City’s Madison Square Garden on Thursday evening. During that intimate show, which served as the climax of a low-key, stripped-down concert series across the U.S., she debuted eight previously unheard songs. The singer, who has not released any new material in three years, used these smaller venues to experiment with fresh tracks expected to form the backbone of her upcoming third solo album—though no official announcement has been made yet. The upcoming tour, which kicks off in Indianapolis on September 15, marks her first full-band outing since "The Reunion Tour" in 2023, though she did perform with the supergroup Boygenius later that same year. Notably, the tour’s promotional photography was created in collaboration with Gregory Crewdson, an acclaimed fine art photographer whose elaborately staged, cinematic images often explore suburban melancholy and small-town life. Crewdson’s work, which has been exhibited at major institutions like the Museum of Modern Art, adds an artistic layer to the tour’s visual identity, further cementing Bridgers’ reputation for blending music with high-concept aesthetics.
Support on the North American leg will come from Alex G, while Isaac Wood will open for the UK and European dates. Presale registration for all shows is now open and will remain so until Thursday, June 11, at 10 p.m. local time, with a strict limit of one registration per person. To manage queue traffic, the Official Artist Presale has been split into two separate days: June 9 and June 10. Fans will be randomly assigned to one of these days; those who register before June 7, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. CST will be considered for the Day 1 random selection. Late registrants—those signing up after that deadline—will receive a unique code enabling them to purchase tickets on Day 2. All registered fans will be notified of their random selection results via email and text message by June 8, 2026, at 10 a.m. CST. Both presale days will begin at 10 a.m. local time and end on Thursday, June 11, at 10 p.m. local time. The general on-sale follows on Friday, June 12, at 10 a.m. local time. This tiered approach, similar to strategies used by major artists like Taylor Swift for her Eras Tour, aims to reduce server strain and ensure fair access for dedicated fans. Music industry analyst Sarah Jenkins of LiveXchange noted, “Bridgers’ decision to road-test new material in intimate settings before launching an arena tour is a savvy strategy that builds anticipation and allows her to fine-tune the setlist based on live audience reactions.” This method, reminiscent of how bands like Radiohead previewed albums like "In Rainbows," could also help gauge which songs resonate most before the official album release.
A portion of every ticket sold on the North American leg—specifically $1 per ticket—will be donated to RAINN, the nation’s largest anti-sexual violence organization and operator of the National Sexual Assault Hotline. RAINN’s mission focuses on stopping sexual violence by supporting survivors, holding perpetrators accountable, and fostering safer communities. Fans who wish to make additional donations can visit RAINN.org’s donation page, though no portion of the ticket purchase itself is tax-deductible. In keeping with the recent acoustic tour dates, all venues will enforce a phone-free policy: upon arrival, guests’ phones, smart watches, and accessories will be secured in Yondr pouches, which attendees will keep in their possession throughout the event. These pouches will be unlocked only at the end of the performance, and anyone caught using a non-permitted device during the show will be escorted out. The announcement advises guests to bring a credit card for any purchases inside the venue, adding, “We appreciate your cooperation in creating a phone-free viewing experience.” This policy, also adopted by artists like Bob Dylan and Dave Chappelle, is designed to encourage audience immersion and prevent unauthorized recordings. The Yondr system, first popularized by comedians like Hannibal Buress, has become a growing trend in live events as artists seek to reclaim the concert experience from smartphone distractions.
The full list of tour dates spans multiple cities across North America, the UK, and Europe, beginning in September and running through December. North American stops include Indianapolis, St. Paul, Chicago, Columbus, Brooklyn (two nights at Barclays Center), Philadelphia, Washington D.C., Toronto, Detroit, Boston, Charlotte, Nashville, Atlanta, Austin, Fort Worth, Denver, Salt Lake City, Seattle, Vancouver, San Francisco, and Inglewood (two nights at Intuit Dome). All North American dates feature support from Alex G. The overseas leg kicks off in Dublin on November 23, followed by shows in Manchester, Glasgow, Birmingham, London (at The O2, one of the world’s busiest entertainment venues, which has hosted everyone from Beyoncé to The Rolling Stones), Paris, Brussels, Amsterdam, Düsseldorf, Berlin, Copenhagen, and Stockholm, all with Isaac Wood as the opening act. This extensive routing covers major markets on both sides of the Atlantic, reflecting Bridgers’ growing global fanbase since her breakthrough with "Punisher" in 2020. The inclusion of two-night stands in Brooklyn and Inglewood underscores high demand, while the European leg taps into her strong following in the UK and continental Europe, where her introspective style has resonated deeply with audiences.
