Show moreGuns N’ Roses to Play Bengaluru and Guwahati on India Return
Guns N' Roses is preparing for a highly awaited return to India, with two concerts confirmed for November. The legendary rock act will take the stage in Bengaluru and Guwahati during the Asian segment of their extensive world tour. BookMyShow Live is organizing the events, scheduled for November 14 at Nice Grounds in Bengaluru and November 17 at Khanapara Ground in Guwahati. This represents a significant shift beyond traditional major cities, as the Guwahati date signals a deliberate effort to reach less frequented regions. The band had previously performed in India earlier in 2025, ending a gap of over a decade since their last appearance in the country. This earlier show in Mumbai reportedly drew a crowd of over 40,000 fans, setting the stage for an even bigger reception this time around.
The tour coincides with the drop of two fresh singles, "Nothin'" and "Atlas," marking the band's first original material since 2023. Each track reveals a different side of their musical identity: "Atlas" delivers a high-octane, driving rock anthem, whereas "Nothin'" explores a more reflective mood with keyboard melodies and layered guitar textures. Naman Pugalia, chief business officer for live events at BookMyShow, emphasized the band's enduring legacy. "Few bands have influenced the trajectory of rock music like Guns N' Roses, and their impact continues to resonate with fans across generations worldwide," he remarked. Pugalia noted that their comeback highlights the swift expansion of India's live entertainment sector. "Bengaluru has solidified its reputation as India's rock hub, while Guwahati showcases the vast potential of emerging markets and the rising demand for large-scale live events in the area," he observed. This shift is part of a broader surge in India's live music industry, driven by increasing disposable incomes and improved venues in cities like Guwahati. For perspective, India's live events market was estimated at over $1.5 billion in 2024, with international artists increasingly targeting secondary cities to connect with new fan bases. Music industry analyst Priya Sharma commented, "The move to Guwahati is a strategic one—it taps into a region with a young, enthusiastic audience that has been historically underserved by major tours."
The performing lineup will include core members Axl Rose, Slash, and Duff McKagan, joined by longtime contributors Dizzy Reed, Richard Fortus, Isaac Carpenter, and Melissa Reese. The band's recent touring achievements are impressive: they moved 1.3 million tickets during their 2024 world tour, underscoring their continued global appeal. Their earlier "Not in This Lifetime" tour, spanning 2016 to 2019, remains a landmark in live music history. As per Billboard Boxscore, it stands as the fourth-highest-grossing concert tour ever, earning over $584 million and drawing more than 5.4 million attendees across 158 performances. Music journalist Alex Green observed, "Guns N' Roses have perfected the art of the live show, fusing nostalgia with raw intensity. Their capacity to fill arenas worldwide, even after decades, speaks to their singular role in rock culture." Given such a devoted fan base and the novelty of their Indian return, tickets for these concerts are anticipated to vanish quickly, likely selling out within hours. Early bird sales for the Bengaluru show are already generating buzz, with fans reportedly queuing online hours before the official launch.
