The Los Angeles-based talent agency First Artists Management, known for representing composers and music supervisors, has officially rebranded itself as FAM agency. The name change comes alongside the addition of Dan North, a former agent at Kraft-Engel Management, who brings with him a roster of composers and music supervisors including Gabriel Mann (“Emily in Paris”), Marcus Norris (“Lady in the Lake”), Tim Williams (“Pearl”), Jonathan Sanford (“The Good Daughter”), Andrew Kotatko (“The Power of the Dog”), and Daniel Rossen (“Past Lives”).
Beyond the rebranding and North’s arrival, FAM has been actively expanding its global presence by signing a diverse range of talent. New additions include the iconic Scottish post-rock band Mogwai (known for their work on “ZeroZeroZero”), Andrew Bird (Emmy-nominated for “The Pitt”), BAFTA-nominated composer Matthew Herbert (“A Fantastic Woman”), music supervisor Jemma Burns (“The Drama”), Sofia degli Alessandri, also known as Drum & Lace (“Red White & Royal Wedding”), the experimental group Tune-Yards (“I Love Boosters”), and The Rescues, the Tony-nominated band behind the Broadway musical “The Lost Boys.” This wave of signings reflects a strategic push to broaden the agency’s creative footprint across film, TV, and streaming platforms.
In addition to North’s hire, FAM has strengthened its operational team with two key appointments. Alexander Beltran joins the Los Angeles office from Warner Bros. as Head of Business Affairs, while Julie Blake moves to the London office from Erased Tapes as Business Affairs Manager. These hires are designed to reinforce the agency’s capabilities in its most important international markets, particularly as it navigates an increasingly globalized entertainment landscape.
Founded in 2003, FAM’s rebrand arrives during a period of notable creative momentum for its existing clients, who have been involved in major projects across film, television, and streaming. The agency’s current roster boasts an impressive list of credits, including Antonio Sanchez (Emmy-nominated for “The Studio”), Dan Deacon (“Task”), Stephen McKeon (Lee Cronin’s “The Mummy”), Nathan Micay (“Margo’s Got Money Troubles”), Hannah Peel (“Midwinter Break”), Haim Mazar (“Scary Movie 6”), Blanck Mass (“Crime 101”), Aaron May and David Ridley (“Adolescence”), Clinton Shorter (“The Rip”), Gavin Brivik (Emmy-nominated for “The Pitt”), Lorena Perez Batista (Emmy-winner for “The Studio”), and Fatima Al Qadiri (“The Stranger”).
Industry observers note that the rebranding signals a shift toward a more unified identity, allowing the agency to better position itself in a competitive market where music supervision and composition are increasingly recognized as integral to storytelling. As streaming services continue to invest heavily in original content, the demand for specialized talent agencies like FAM is expected to grow, making this strategic expansion particularly timely. The agency’s dual focus on both established names and emerging voices suggests a forward-looking approach, one that balances commercial viability with artistic innovation.
