LCD Soundsystem Announces 2026 NYC Residency — Including 100th Residency Show

LCD Soundsystem will carry on its yearly custom of wrapping up the calendar in its home city, revealing a 2026 New York City residency comprising a dozen performances spread across three distinct weekends. The run begins in Queens at the Knockdown Center from November 19 through 22, shifts to Brooklyn Steel between November 30 and December 3, and concludes with a four-night engagement back at the Knockdown Center from December 10 to 13.

One date stands out within the Brooklyn Steel stint: the November 30 concert will mark the 100th show of the band's annual residency tradition, a series that began in 2016 with the group's first year-end hometown performances. All proceeds from tickets to that commemorative evening are pledged by LCD Soundsystem to a charitable organization, which has yet to be named. James Murphy, the frontman raised in Princeton Junction, New Jersey, has guided the group through this recurring event while preserving its standing as a defining act of the 2000s dance-punk era. That movement, which merged post-punk guitar textures with electronic beats, counted acts like !!! and The Rapture among its ranks, though LCD Soundsystem's blend of melancholy and groove proved especially enduring.

Supporting the headline performances will be a changing roster of opening acts, post-show parties featuring guest DJs, and further programming that the organizers say will be revealed closer to the dates. Tickets for the general public go on sale Friday, October 9 at 10:00 a.m. ET. From Tuesday, October 6 at 10 a.m. ET through Thursday, October 8 at 10 p.m. ET, American Express Card Members may take part in a presale, subject to availability. A Fan Presale runs from Wednesday, October 7 at 10 a.m. ET until Thursday, October 8 at 10 p.m. ET.

Eight of the twelve concerts will take place at the Knockdown Center, a onetime glass factory in Ridgewood that was transformed into an arts space in the mid-2010s and has since become a fixture of Queens' cultural scene. Brooklyn Steel, a Williamsburg warehouse turned music hall, has hosted multiple prior LCD Soundsystem residencies, among them the band's 2017 comeback following a five-year hiatus. On the recording front, the group has not issued a full-length album since 2017's American Dream, nor a new single since 2022. Guitarist Al Doyle, however, has just released a solo track titled Hard Times in America, the first taste of his forthcoming debut album Hollywood Saviour.
